When I searched my own address I found both BTC and BCH results. So I looked in both and see the same transaction on both networks. Do I now have free BCH? If the BCH gets transferred out of the address what happens to the BTC? Can someone explain the correlation to me? Sorry if this is a newbie question, I couldn't find results googling it.

The price questionHi, so I've been looking through some of Satoshi's emails and Bitcointalk posts trying to understand what his vision was for Bitocoin's price. So in one Bitcointalk post Satoshi [said](https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=57.msg415#msg415); >"In the absence of a market to establish the price, NewLibertyStandard's estimate based on production cost is a good guess and a helpful service (thanks).... " But goes on to clarify; >In later years, when new coin generation is a small percentage of the existing supply, market price will dictate the cost of production more than the other way around. So this brought up a question later on in a different post by a user called Llama who [asked](https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=242.msg2078#msg2078) what would happen if someone began hording Bitcoin. Satoshi replied; >"What the OP described is called "cornering the market". When someone tries to buy all the world's supply of a scarce asset, the more they buy the higher the price goes. At some point, it gets too expensive for them to buy any more. It's great for the people who owned it beforehand because they get to sell it to the corner at crazy high prices. As the price keeps going up and up, some people keep holding out for yet higher prices and refuse to sell. The Hunt brothers famously bankrupted themselves trying to corner the silver market in 1979..." Satoshi also mentions at various points the original protocol was meant to be feeless, Bitcoin 0.1.0 was completely peer-to-peer, meaning you needed to run a node to send transactions, if your node was offline you couldn't receive transactions through IP but the use of addresses was devised which would require the transaction to be signed with a digital signature. But that aside, I want to return focus to the main point of my post; pricing, what Satoshi described with cornering the market is similar to what's been going on in the past few years. According to [Haig](https://cointelegraph.com/news/five-mega-exchanges-hold-10-of-bitcoin-s-entire-supply), a writer for cointelegraph, in 2020 10% or more of the Bitcoin supply was being held by just 5 centralized exchanges, but it is impossible to know how much is held by Sybil addresses or how much of the customer funds are being used to game the market as the [SBF situation](https://www.theverge.com/2022/12/13/23507015/sam-bankman-fried-ftx-sec-criminal-fraud-doj-cftc) has shown, Exchanges can and do use customer funds to trade with. Satoshi explained that cornering the market would lead to prices going up, in that same thread a user by the name of [dwdollar](https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=242.msg2078#msg2078) said; > I think the bigger problem, as others mentioned, is shadow interests buying/selling to create speculative bubbles and subsequent crashes. So this issue was certainly known to Satoshi at the time. In the first thread I [cited](https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=57.msg415#msg415) a user by the name of xc asked Satoshi many difficult questions about Bitcoin's price and the uncertainty of it. Satoshi's model for handling price was the allocation of miner rewards, which would contract and expand every four years until there were 21 million Bitcoins, the game theory dynamic of this was as more coins were mined, better equipment would be needed to mine new coins, so it was presumed that miners would always be in a sort of arms race which would force them to sell and control the Bitcoin upswing. Bitcoin was designed to be based on merit. But sadly Satoshi could not predict the machinations the future held, for example; * Supply was always meant to be 21 million, but exchanges found a way to inflate that number artificially off-chain through the issuance of [paper bitcoins](https://thedefiant.io/ftx-sold-fake-bitcoin) that did not exist. * Bitcoin was supposed to be bought with real money, but Tether, the stablecoin project running on-top of Bitcoin has been [shown](https://www.theverge.com/22620464/tether-backing-cryptocurrency-stablecoin) to print virtual dollars out of thin air and artificially pump the Bitcoin price and sell on top retail investors through exchanges who help to wash trade the printed coins. Tether was meant to be backed 1:1 using a token running inside Bitcoin called "RealCoin", but very few people have actually seen or held a "RealCoin" because Tether only allows a small minority of people to actually redeem their Realcoin for USD. With this in mind we see that we have a very real problem with price manipulation, price is still centralized and the measures Satoshi designed to prevent that have been thwarted. I present the question to the Bitcoincash community (since this is one of the few places in crypto someone can have an honest discussion). I ask; how would you manage the issue of price centralization? Knowing what you know now, things that Satoshi was not able to witness firsthand, how would you design Bitcoin to control price centralization?

We maintained a cautious positive mindset at the start of the week, expecting a smooth return to the bearish trend in the near future, closer to January. The dynamics on both BTC and the S&P500 have brought us closer to the end of the transition period and the start of the bearish trend because of the updated December minimum; however, we have yet to receive confirmation in the form of a lower local maximum to become a bear, so there are two more weeks in December for this.

The market makers who shorted BCH based on FTX spot, perpetual and futures markets are F**KED.So basically FTX had 0 BCH. But they did have BCH trading pairs, for spot, futures and perpetual funds. Now what they did was: 1) FTX shorts BCH below other exchanges spot and futures prices. - **WE SAW FOR MONTHS FUTURES WERE TRADING MULTIPLE % BELOW SPOT**. 2) Market makers **Deposit collateral onto FTX** to buy FTX's fake paper BCH at a cheap price and then short BCH at a higher price on other normal exchanges. This is **supposedly "FREE ARBITRAGE"**. All they have to do is hold until the contract expiration, and they profit the difference in price between FTX and other exchanges. 3) FTX goes bankrupt. The market makers no longer have any long BCH positions because FTX never had any BCH, and instead the market makers only have short BCH positions on other exchanges. 4) If the price of BCH rises all these market makers stand to lose Hundreds of millions and get margin called and/or go bankrupt. 5) Evidence: After FTX went bankrupt futures prices not only lost their negative premium but they actually have gone above spot ever since. That is evidence that FTX may have been behind this. To encourage traders to short BCH spot and buy FTX BCH paper futures for free 2-5%. We know Binance and OKX trade against their own customers, these are the largest Futures exchanges. They might be the largest short positions as well because they cant be margin called on their own exchanges, so they really thought it was free arbitrage. This could explain why Binance had over 450k BCH liabilities but only 100K BCH: https://old.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/yrhvvt/binance_just_admitted_that_they_owe_611919_bch_to/ They might have bought 350k BCH on FTX and shorted the 350k BCH of their customer BCH deposits. Now FTX is bankrupt and admitted they dont have any BCH, Binance owes their customers 350k BCH that they do not own anymore. Just to give an easy example: 1) FTX sells BCH to $100 while other exchanges have BCH priced at $105. 2) Binance sees this and buys futures paper BCH for $100 and sells their customer deposits of BCH for $105. Now they have a paper $5 profit from this, if they can get their $100 BCH out of FTX when the futures contract expires. 3) FTX goes bankrupt. Binance loses the $100 BCH, but has the $5 profit left. Their debt is 1 BCH rather than $100 dollars though, so if they have to buy hundreds of thousands of BCH, each BCH might cost over $200-$300. This information also explains why FTX Sam reached out to Binance and also OKX for funding. Those two are likely so deep in this fake arbitrage to FTX that their losses are easily billions, and with FTX going under, these two exchanges/market-makers are likely already insolvent. TLDR: Because of the FTX collapse, we are dealing with hundreds of millions in losses for market makers, plus these market makers owe actual crypto in debt/shorts due to hedging/arbitrage. So the hundreds of millions of losses could easily double or triple.

New to BCHTL;DR I have 1.025 BCH and 1.05 LTC. I don't know Jack about this market. Is this the future of small purchases? A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away... I wasn't really interested in crypto, until nft hit the art market and everyone started chasing nfts and ETH. As an art collector, I think this nft thing is hooey, but that is my personal 2¢. Anyhow...
