The cheapest way to buy BTC? - Coinbase? Gemini? Strike? eToro?Looking to purchase BTC and then move to cold storage. Trying to compare the various options is difficult as to fees/spread, etc. I am leaning toward Strike as I may have some interest in retaining a small amount in the app for potential payments. What are your recommendations for primarily making systematic purchases and then moving to storage? Looking for the cheapest/simple/secure.

Decent/Reputable ATM Company IN NEEDI live in bay area California. I normally use “BTC of America” ATMs. All in my area have been down/off for the past ~10 days. I know of a very shady/scam ATM nearby—coin cloud, cloud coin or something. Point being, I know there are some shady scam BTC ATMs in plenty all around. Can anyone vouch for a SPECIFIC ATM company that charges a decent rate? Not 50%. 20% or less, idk something reasonable. Northern CA. THANK anyone with any useful advice. Inb4 “try duckduckgo” every website seems to be shilling for companies that aren’t even in service, or have been removed the actual store they are located already… Advice: much obliged. Anything else: go spend your time commenting elsewhere plz thx <3

Call to arms, get on social media and fight for what you believe in!I have been in BTC since 2014 and moved to BCH the day after the 2x in Segregated Witness 2x was called off. I have been passionately following every moment in crypto with a focus on BCH. Practically losing money everyday since 2018. Through all the drama with BTC, BSV, and eCash we, the BCH community, have stuck to our ideals and the firm belief that BITCOIN is a PEER TO PEER ELECTRONIC CASH SYSTEM for the world, both a medium of exchange AND a store of value. The next evolution in the technology we call money. For both the rich and the poor, for all political ideologies, races, genders, for everyone! While exchanges like FTX & Bitfinex (tether) and all sorts of powerful people censored us and pumped their coins we sat fighting from within, while everyone was pouring money into 3rd parties to stake/farm/earn yield we sat quietly... BUT so many of our haters have gotten wrecked, all the "ETH killers" like Solana have been shown to be artificially propped up. NOW is the time to get on social media and get our opinions heard. Our devs have upgraded and upgraded BCH adding so much value, but the masses don't know anything about it. We need to post, we need to like, we need to be more active. There has definitely been a shift in sentiment. People are looking for answers and I genuinely believe Bitcoin Cash is the answer. We just need to tell the world what we all know to be true. Roger has worked tirelessly for us. Kim dot com is doing his part. Marc de Mesel donated 1000s of BCHs, BCHN (and the rest of our devs) have reversed most of the damage done by 'bad actors', but they need our support on the front lines, social media, to get the word out there. I encourage everyone to fight for what they believe in. Spend the time and get back out there! P.S. I am not making this post to pump my bags, but I do hope for that outcome. At the end of the day it's about financial freedom and the separation of state and money.

👏 $2 million bet predicts Bitcoin price will hit $1 million in 90 days Former Coinbase CTO, a famous Crypto KOL bet $2 million predicting Bitcoin price will reach $1 million in 90 days He thinks that the current banking crisis will spread, the Fed will pump money to rescue it, causing hyperinflation to happen and the USD will soon return to the ground. Money will flow to BTC as companies, then large funds and countries take refuge in BTC What do you think about this bet? Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banksThe problem with the Silicon Valley Bank is that people need it to process payments. A lot of firms, big and small, are in a pickle because of its collapse. For example Etsy, not exactly a small enterprise, is finding itself unable to pay it's creators for things people have already paid for, and maybe even received. They had (at least part of) their accounts at SVB. SVB failed because of their greed. They made bets on leverage, and they lost. Now their clients are fucked because of their greed. Bitcoin lets people buy/sell things without intermediaries. Peer to peer electronic cash. We still have a ways to go, but the advantages are evident.

It doesn't matter what crypto can do if it's not simpleTom Z wrote a post about a similar topic the other day, and I just wanted to toss in my two cents. Obviously the tech matters. Fundamentals matter, because at the end of the day it HAS to work. And while that's absolutely necessary, it's not sufficient to succeed. It needs to be dead simple. Let me take you back to the mid eighties, when everything was command line, and there was basically no reason to own a mouse. It was technically possible to do LOTS of things on a computer. They were extremely powerful tools, even back then. You just had to devote several years of your life to learning how to make them work. Without actually making computers more powerful, the introduction of a graphical user interface meant that all of those things that were possible, but out of reach of ordinary people were suddenly simple. You didn't have to read the manual, you could just figure it out by clicking around. Despite his faults I think it was Steve Jobs who coined the "grandma test" and insisted that the original ipod only had one button. Amazon and every other E-tailer learned long ago that every button click you put between a customer and their purchase reduces the chances they'll buy ANYTHING dramatically. We can't force people to use crypto on our terms, you have to meet them where they are. They're lazy. They don't want to learn about your new app. They want something that makes their life easier, not harder. Even a TINY barrier to entry will keep most people away. The more seamless the better. Function is useless without design. It is not an afterthought, it's not less important, it is just as critical as the underlying technology. If it's not easy to use it's basically pointless tech because it WILL NOT be widely adopted. Obviously, tech comes first, but I think we're at a point now that it makes a lot of sense to put more focus on ease of use, interfaces, etc.

The FUD is real. So it’s my story time. This is how I turned $20k into an engagement ring, baller wedding, Tesla, and a year-long sabbatical. In 2017, I was the chief marketing officer of a tech startup. A competitor launched an ICO at the tip top peak of the ‘17/‘18 run up. The ICO was a total scam but extremely successful. I was put in charge of figuring out if we should do the same thing for our company. We never ended up doing an ICO for a lot of reasons, many ethical and the market had crashed, but the research was enthralling. I was orange pilled, but had zero cash because I was a serial failed entrepreneur at the time. In early 2020, I had a couple of fortunate events coincided, which left me with $20k cash. I had yet to decide to invest when covid hit China, where I was living at the time. Because of how China handled covid in the first few months, the country snapped back to normal-ish pretty quick. Then covid hit the rest of the world hard and the market took a dump in March. At the time, I thought the world would snap back like China did, so I threw everything I had into TSLA. Obviously the world didn’t, but the stock market sure as hell did. I held TSLA till after the split in August, then I realized I believed in BTC more than I believed in Musk. I took that cash and bought BTC at an average cost of just under 10K. Up to that point, these were the best trades of my life and only happened because I didn’t fall for the FUD. For me, covid was far scarier than all the war, failing crypto companies, and legislation we have going on right now. But honestly, I followed my gut and research, and lucked out. Then I just sat and waited with pretty clear understanding of the halving cycle phenomenon. Of course, shit happens, like having 1 BTC stolen in May of 2021 because I asked my Dad to do something I never should have asked him to do. But that was a HUGE lesson and helped me mentally later when it was time to sell. In late 2020, I met the girl of my dreams. By the end of 2021, I knew I wanted to spend as much time as we are destined to spend with each other and make a family together. I started to sell BTC, not because of the price, but because there were things I wanted more in life. I bought her a dope engagement ring, then sold enough to make sure I could afford the wedding of her dreams. Making the person I loved happy became the most important thing to me. Later, in early 2022, I sold more BTC to buy us a new Model Y. Really felt like my investments had come full circle at that point. Funny enough though, six months later we sold the car for 10% more than we paid for it. Which is now in large part funding a year-long sabbatical that my wife and I are currently on. A couple more strange events took place, like me getting laid off and receiving a significant severance package, all of which I have invested back into crypto over the last 6 months. I have been extremely luck and a little unlucky while investing in crypto. But when I look back, the best choices came from understanding the cycles, being brave enough to to go all in (with no leverage), and focusing on what was important to me. I honestly hope my story is encouraging and helps you make decisions that are best for you when it comes to getting what you want out of investing.

Why did BTC plummet?\- 10/3 Mt Gox starts paying part of BTC, sell in March? \- The bank dedicated to supporting Crypto Silvergate is about to go bankrupt. Although MicroStrategy does not store BTC at this bank, it has borrowed $ 205M from Silvergate \- SEC warns Crypto exchanges like Binance, threatening to cut down any projects that reveal loopholes - Inflation increased for the first time since October 2022, a series of Fed officials threatened to raise interest rates This is my personal opinion. How much do people predict BTC will reach? At what price will people buy BTC? I will wait until BTC drops to 15-18k then I will start buying BTC and RBIF to accumulate gradually.

Intention to invest in cryptocurrencies – a master’s thesis surveyHi, First of all, we would like to thank the moderators of the subreddit for allowing us to make a post about this project and anyone who is willing to participate in this project! The link to the survey can be found at the bottom of the post. **Purpose of the project** The purpose of the master’s thesis is to better understand which factors may influence retail investors’ intention to invest in cryptocurrencies. The independent variables used in the thesis are: \- Performance Expectancy \- Effort Expectancy \- Social Influence \- Facilitating Conditions \- Fear of Missing Out \- Loss Aversion \- Herding Behavior The dependent variable used in the thesis is: \- Behavioral Intention, more specifically «Intention to invest in cryptocurrencies» The survey does not include questions regarding moderators like age or gender. **Which institution is responsible for the research project?** Inland School of Business and Social Sciences, Campus Rena ( [https://www.inn.no/english/about-inn-university/campus-rena/](https://www.inn.no/english/about-inn-university/campus-rena/) ) **Why are you being asked to participate?** You are being asked to participate in this study, because we want to investigate retail investors who uses Reddit to gather information for investment purposes. Our population are retail investors who invest in cryptocurrencies and our convenience sample are retail investors who invest in cryptocurrencies and uses Reddit. **What does participation involve for you?** Your participation involves you answering an online survey regarding various factors (see «Purpose of the project»). Based on two pilot tests (total n=8) the estimated time to answer the survey is 5-10 minutes, but you may take all the time you need. Your response to the survey is important to better understand which factors may influence retail investors’ intention to invest in cryptocurrencies, more specifically those who use Reddit. It will contribute to the fields of research within behavioral finance and use of financial technology. **Participation is voluntary** You may at any given time decide to not participate in this survey by simply not completing the survey. It is not possible to remove your response from the survey after completing it, because every response will be anonymous. **Your personal privacy – how we will store and use your personal data** The data collected from this survey will only be used in this master’s thesis. The experiment "buy this today and it does nothing except be worth more tomorrow" was done with NFTs. Why is BTC going the same route?BTC has become "buy some today, sell it for more tomorrow. In the meantime you really cannot use it for anything." NFTs have kind of shown that this model doesnt work. Bitcoin was meant to be used as peer-to-peer cash - not something that just sits in your wallet.

recently dl'd the btc Blockchain on a HDD from windows and want to use it on a ras pi. can I do this without redownloading?Hello, I recently downloaded the btc Blockchain to a 2tb HDD from a windows machine. I want to use it for a pi I have coming but want to know if I will be able to use it when it gets here. Will I have to redownload it?? Or can I use it? Is there a way to convert the file type of I have to? I know debian used ext4 and did not think about that until I had like 30% of the chain downloaded...which is where I am with the progress as of writing this. Any help would be much appreciated as I would rather not have to start over if possible. It's. Taking. Forever. Again Any help would be awesome. Thank you.

Random conversation about money as information and PoW>Are you concerned about the unfashionable proof-of-work algorithm killing BTC? No, I'll share some thoughts on this. First thing to recognize is that blockchains are hash buyers, and miners are hash sellers. Right now, the BTC network is the highest-paying "customer" and accounts for more than 99% of sha256d miner's revenue, with BCH and few others accounting for the rest. Other thing to recognize is that mining is anonymous by nature. Pools usually write some info into their coinbase transactions (the 1st TX in a block, which pays out the reward to the miner), but they don't have to do it, and any pool can omit or forge another pool's tag. Other way to try to identify a miner is the address, but the address can also be changed for each block. Ok, so anyone with access to hardware and electricity can anonymously mine, sell the mined coins for some currency (if there's a liquid market for the coin), and then use the currency to pay for his electricity bill and other capex/opex costs. What's great about this is that you can mine from a remote location, giving you a way to "wirelessly" sell energy to blockchain networks. You don't need to run cables or transport a product. Also, if you're an energy producer, during times of low demand you can again sell energy to miners or mine yourself - so this can create incentive to overprovision capacity, which could be of interest to make renewable projects more big and profitable. If there will be a better use for the energy - then that better use can outbid blockchains. Blockchains are paying customers, just like everyone else. But this particular customer is convenient because energy delivery and expenditure can take place at the same location since the "product" being made with energy is digital. There's more on this here: https://www.bitcoinunlimited.net/blockchain_energy_use.md It also talks about blockchains wasting energy, argument which can be made for BTC blockchain because it has artificially capped transaction capacity to 1MB every 10-min. If you allow it to naturally scale with hardware&software capabilities, it could be much more efficient (transactions / kWh). BCH currently has a limit of 32MB but has been testing 256MB blocks which would be processing roughly 1000 transactions per second. Our problem is adoption... not much used - actual blocks are now around 100-200kB but our price is <1% of BTC so we're doing 10x less transactions but burning 100x less energy. Of course, with adoption the price would grow and cause more energy expenditure - and there we ought to find some equilibrium because blockchains are just 1 of many energy bidders. Solution to rising energy prices is more supply, not less demand, and blockchains have become a way of crowdfunding the supply. Also, sha256d mining has become a huge capex and opex intense industry with thin margins. It is not survival of BTC that is at stake, but survival of sha256d miners. If BTC changed the algorithm, almost everyone invested in sha256d mining hardware would go bankrupt because it would lose a "customer" accounting for the biggest source of revenue. Because it's special-purpose hardware it can't be repurposed for some other coin like GPU-mineable algorithms can. And there, I feel like ASICs make it all more secure, because once you build out your business on ASIC mining - you're commited to the algorithm, and the survival of coins for your algo is in your best interest. >But I don’t see the power provided becoming lower. Efficiency gains in hardware won't change the power use, they will just reshuffle the mining market. First miner to increase efficiency will get more money, add more hardware (+energy) kick out low-efficient miners (-energy) until everyone slowly gets access to the better hardware. Difficulty will increase to match new hashes/kWh and the energy use will again be at some equilibrium with block reward market value. >Is the benefit of a distributed ledger (with proof-of-work) worth the extremely high energy use? Who's to say if it's "worth it"? The market votes on "worth" of things all the time, and by giving BTC the top market cap, it is voting that it is indeed "worth it" - because the market price of BTC block reward "pays for" the energy, if the price dropped, so would the energy use :) Even though BTC's main use of energy has become to secure "store of value" since it can't handle much transactions. Also, if price remained constant, the energy use would halve every 4 years (because block reward will halve, and with same price it's 50% less revenue, and mining costs would remain the same, so they'd start go offline until difficulty drops to 50% and reduces energy use). What PoW achieves is something that can only be achieved by PoW, it's not just about timestamping transactions which you can do with other schemes (PoS, PoA) - it's about the mining game being open and censorship-resistant. Anyone can join the mining game without asking for permission from existing players. I see PoS as convoluted PoA. >The energy required to pass fiat or even wire transfer is orders of magnitude lower than brute forcing a hash. Yes, currently, and on BTC certainly. Note this: if the number of transactions increases - energy use doesn't change. So why not fit more transactions into blocks? That's what BCH wants to do. >If you can’t tell, I’m a etherium guy :) Because of smart contract capabilities or because you think PoS is a good idea? I'm curious - at what time did you get interested in crypto? PoW vs PoS is not new, this is a good doc written on it, 2015: https://download.wpsoftware.net/bitcoin/pos.pdf What people have been warning about is starting to happen, every now and then I see someone posting about Eth TX censorship. >You are still talking around my question, tho, which is maybe very idealistic, but still out there: Will humans in 100 or 1000 years laugh at our incredibly wasteful way of assuming somebody owns something? I don't know, but even if they will -- it doesn't mean we can just skip this step in human progress. >wasteful way of assuming somebody owns something? Thanks to Bitcoin (the invention), I have started to think about money more abstractly - it's more like information than something that can be owned. When you send someone money, you're sending a financial message "please make more of this". The receiver responds by building some good or a service, to serve your fellow humans with what they say they need. And by spending the earned money elsewhere, you become a relay. By collecting money, you store up energy for some burst of broadcasting power later. The problem of current financial system is that central entities can forge the signal - they can give themselves infinite broadcasting power and so make message receivers behave irrationally. What I'm saying is - do not think of money as ownership - think of it as a signal that helps coordinate production of things we need. If we make a metaphor of humankind as one organism, then money flows are signals between neurons (individuals), and they control what the hands do (factories etc). Human brain uses 20% of the energy, is it surprising that our civilization's brain would use a significant amount (not even close to 20%)? >The report found Bitcoin mining to consume 0.16% of global energy production, slightly less than the energy consumed by computer games, according to the BMC — and an amount it considered to be “an inconsequential amount of global energy.” https://cointelegraph.com/news/btc-energy-use-jumps-41-in-12-months-increasing-regulatory-risks Still think it's waste? Is gaming a waste then, too? Is having sex for non-reproductive purposes a waste, too? Is running a marathon a waste? You don't need that much running just to be in shape. How much energy do sports events "waste"? Everything that makes life worth living is pretty much wasting energy :) And even when energy is used "productively" - to build something, the things we build generally serve to help make life easier so we can waste even more energy during our leasure time while enjoying life haha! The concept of "waste" is subjective, we don't have a duty to nature to spend energy this or that way - every one of us spends it how he feels like, and nobody should be guilted into feeling his use is "waste". >putting wealth above responsibility Wealth is responsibility. The more you have the more responsibility you have. I mean, you can be irresponsible and waste it on entertainment and luxuries, but what signal does such expenditure send to other "neurons" in our civilization "brain"? The more wealth you have, the stronger your signal gets - use it responsibly. >You can’t buy yourself out of some problems, yet we (humans) seem to keep doing it. I’m a bit scared of this capitalist train that tells us to grow or die. Just keep the pedal to the floor and hold on to keep up. I don’t see a better way, I’m not saying I have an answer, but I don’t feel comfortable anymore. Neither do I, but not because of capitalism - but because of those wanting to take over individual agency and make decisions for us - so we can better fit in how they think the wold should look like. The mental virus of communism has mutated and has come back to haunt us again. I reject that, and I'll work towards the world I want to see, I will not be a part of other people's plans - I will make my own plans. >Back to crypto- think about where that energy comes from. Think of energy as a resource we always think of as infinite until it’s not. We’re not powering our CPUs with lumber, thankfully, but we are using some seriously damaging fuel sources today. That's true for any energy use - whether or not energy is dirty depends on supply, not on demand. We need to increase supply of renewables instead of guilting everyone into lowering demand. Why isn't more money allocated towards growing renewable supply, renewable h2 & methanol production, nuclear research, methanol engines & fuel cell tech...? Why aren't all roofs 100% covered in solars? We have a big fusion reactor that's sending free wireless energy to Earth, all we gotta do is capture it. Because the signal (money) flows have become captured by misanthropic self-serving elites who don't really want to solve problems for us. Fix the money, fix the world. So no, I don't feel bad for using a lot of energy to fix the money and then the world. The "money" use is our collective brain's plumbing! >And even if we had a fusion powered grid, are you comfortable knowing that the work required to sign a single block could keep a house lit up for a year? Yes. It's not my energy, and it was not stolen from me nor anyone else - it was paid for by the network. It's a voluntary transaction between parties involved, who am I to judge it? >there should be some kind of 'storage' or 'potential' that can be spent to reduce entropy, thus producing work... And this is where I get very concerned about efficiency. Energy is the potential that is able to produce work, that's literally the definition. Nothing gets done without energy. Entropy is a measure of irreversibility (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irreversible_process), not of disorder - can you undo the work, recover the same amount of energy, and leave everything else the same? Even the most efficient machine produces entropy - any action that results in a thermodinamically irreversible change will increase entropy, doesn't matter how efficient you're at doing the change. You may locally reduce entropy (undo the work by bringing some external energy) but by doing so, the broader system's entropy will always grow because you had to take energy from it (or remain constant - which is only a theoretical possibility). Entropy is closely tied to passage of time. Without ever-growing entropy we'd be stuck in stasis. To have "stability" or constant entropy is to be stuck in an infinite loop: a perpetuum mobile preserves entropy but the idea of living in one is what's truly horrifying because it can't ever change it only loops internal states and never interact with its surroundings, it's more like definition of hell then some ideal to strive towards. >It does being to look like homogeneous wealth redistribution and the fight to keep inequality, just like keeping the cold out and the hot in. So seeing us creating a bunch of heat just to keep a ledger of potential sits very strangely with me. Sun creates a bunch of heat just because it exists, and %99.999999 of it is "wasted" to outer space and is increasing entropy of our solar system faster than we ever could, at least until we build that Dyson sphere :D Things naturally cool down - everything radiates heat into the void (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black-body_radiation). The space itself is a massive cold sink. What we get from the Sun at day, we send to outer space during night. It's the flux that helps us build stuff, we're just redirecting streams of energy and entropy to create good side-effects for us humans, we're not stopping the streams. Human experience is not some static state, it will never be "stable". Life itself is the experience of the flow of ever-increasing entropy. To halt entropy is to halt life. We can't fight the natural currents, we just need to learn ride the waves to have a nice existence in this huge universe we found ourselves in :) Be grateful for the wonder of life, try to enjoy it and help others enjoy it. >Your responses are extremely compelling and very well stated. I am seriously enjoying your point of view and you have given me lots to think about. Thanks, I'm enjoying the talk too! {this part was later in PMs, I don't want to violate the person's privacy so I'll just copy my answers and come up with some alternative prompt} >Can we equate money with ability to produce work? we can't really, because unlike nature where work and energy are objective measures, while value we give to products is subjective; if you do labor that nobody asked for, what is its value? not every usage of 1Joule is worth the same to humans, even if it produces exact same amount of physical work money really is potential, and the current of money makes things move in human society, but how much of that flow someone gets to attract to himself doesn't just depend on that someone but on perceptions of others money helps quantify relationships between humans, if there was just 1 human, then concept of value wouldn't exist... to have value is to be valued by others, value is a measure of relationships with other humans, not an objective measure of state Yeah, I think money is more like a neural signal than something that produces work. When your brain sends an electric current to your hand, the stronger the signal the stronger it will squeeze, but it's not the signal that's providing the energy for the squeeze, it just controls the gates that direct energy so flows of money direct flows of energy, but money is not energy and like, if every energy exchange results in entropy, from the point of view of nature it doesn't care... but WE care about particular configurations of the increased entropy state.. so we direct flows of energy and entropy to create a reality nice for us so our civilization-brain is using money to create a planet-sized neural network, but the signal can still be easily corrupted because we don't have sound money... which is why I think Bitcoin (Cash) or whatever succeeds as truly decentralized p2p currency has the potential to make our civilization-brain more reasonable. Fix the money, fix the world! which is also why I'm with PoW... because PoS is more corruptible

With Ordinals, Bitcoin miners are actually MORE incentivized to mine NFTs than actual spending transactions. A large spending transaction requires expensive cryptographic computation while an NFT is simple pass-through data. Not likely to get them to censor NFTs.

Electron Cash UI redesign updateHi Bitcoin Cashers! It’s been a little over three months since the Electron Cash redesign Flipstarter was funded: https://bafybeiektcysitw45sbxqfhstzplatageu2s6vraik4t6y7wryphbizwiq.ipfs.flipstarter.me/ We’ve finished drafting ~80-90% of the new interface in Figma, just some tools and settings windows to go. Once that’s done, we will add basic functionality so that the design can be interacted with as a prototype, and I’ll be releasing a video covering the redesign when that prototype is made public for review and testing. While the Flipstarter officially covered 3 months of funding, I will be covering our expenses until we have this prototype completed. I appreciate the financial support of everyone who pledged to the original Flipstarter, and I can’t wait to deliver. Progress has been steady as we take this opportunity to refine and iterate on each part of the design. My hope is that we will release the prototype and video in the next 2 months. Cheers!

I have posted about this before, but its an idea that keeps coming back. "Virtual Tip Jar with BitcoinCash"To setup your phone to be a virtual tip jar set your bluetooth "Device Name" to a BitcoinCash address. You can copy a receive BCH address from your wallet app. done. The "tipper" would use the app I am writing which will scan for bluetooth devices near it and alert when it finds one that is also a BCH address. Once can then send coins as tip. Any feedback is appreciated. - I plan on using "Expo" as my scanning app. Ideally I would use native android API, but as POC this is good enough. - As outlined there is no 3rd party needed. But optionally there could be a 3rd party that links BCH address to more information. - For the person being tipped there is no need to install any apps (besides the wallet) , just need to set their bluetooth device name on their phone. I see the same butcher every month. I see the same cashiers. I would love to tip them. Being able to tip people who normally aren"t in a position to ask for tips is another use-case for something as powerful as Bitcoin .

I recently had to cancel the purchase of an apartment and now I find myself with a significant amount of money that I had set aside for the purchase. I have been considering various options such as saving or investing the money, using it to purchase another property, paying off debt, or even taking a vacation or planning a fun trip, but I believe a lot in BTC and I think for my situation M28 without children is a good investment in the long term I'm not sure which one would be the best fit for me as my current financial situation is ok and I work as an Engineer. I would be grateful if you could offer some guidance on what to do with this money and how to make the most of it. Thank you in advance for your help 🥰

Bitcoin Cash - A community of engaged people👇 Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is a community of engaged people, and that is important because it can provide a sense of belonging, support, and connection. Being part of the Bitcoin Cash community can also provide opportunities for personal and professional growth (developers, software designers, content creators etc) , as well as access to resources and information about the digital decentralized money. Additionally, being engaged with the community can also lead to a greater sense of purpose and fulfillment. Furthermore, being part of a community can also lead to a greater sense of accountability and responsibility towards the community and its goals. Morning Bitcoin Cash fam and great Sunday

Transaction confirmations and the future of zero-confirmationAs a novice in the field of cryptocurrency, I have a few questions about transaction confirmations and the future of zero-confirmation transactions for BCH. From what I understand, a transaction is not considered final until it is processed in the next block. Currently, merchants accepting BCH must wait for at least one confirmation to ensure they have received payment, correct? Can someone explain how difficult it would be for someone to reverse a transaction after they have paid a merchant? Additionally, I have heard that BCH is moving towards zero-confirmation transactions in the future. Is there an estimate of when this will happen and if this will be a complete solution for ensuring merchants receive payment immediately upon transaction processing?

Trocador is launching a Payment Gateway solution for stores and projects to accept BCHHi community, it's Trocador's team here. We are happy to announce we were able to improve our AnonPay solution and we are launching a [**Payment Gateway**](https://trocador.app/en/anonpay/) for stores, blogs, and all other projects and websites that need to receive payments via Cryptocurrencies. Websites can now generate invoices in their own desired coin (for example Bitcoin Cash) and at the same time allow the user to choose to pay in any other coin he/she wants. ***Payment mode (stores, services, etc):*** * Store asks Trocador to generate an invoice of 50 USD worth of Bitcoin Cash (or any other coin) to their own wallet address; store also provides their own e-mail inside the request; * Trocador generates a widget where the user can opt which coin he wants to use on this payment (for example Stablecoins); * Trocador calculates the best rate for this swap (50 USD worth of Stablecoins -> 50 USD worth of Bitcoin Cash) and displays the user the address where he must send those funds (for example, the stablecoin ERC20 address); * The exchange does the trade and confirms it as completed; * User sees completed transaction and the store automatically receives an e-mail informing them about the payment; ![img](riqqcb1y52ba1 "Payment mode") ***Donation mode (blogs, services, projects):*** * Blog asks Trocador to generate an invoice of Bitcoin Cash (or any other coin) to their own wallet; * Trocador generates a widget where the user can opt which coin he wants to use on this donation (for example Bitcoin) and which amount; * Trocador calculates the best rate for this swap (amount of Bitcoin -> same amount worth of Bitcoin Cash) and displays the user the address where he must send those funds (a Bitcoin address); * The exchange does the trade and confirms it as completed; * User sees completed transaction and the blog automatically receives an e-mail informing them about the donation; ![img](1zqw4fgc62ba1 "Donation mode") ***Personal payment mode:*** * User access our [**Payment Generator**](https://trocador.app/en/anonpayurlgenerator) page and builds an invoice the way he wants, also providing an email in case he wants to receive updates about the transaction; * Trocador generates the invoice page; * User shares the invoice with his friend; * Friend pays and user receives funds in his wallet; * User gets email notification that the transaction is completed; ***Our next steps:*** I know this is not a complete Payment Gateway because we have not listed fiat currencies yet, but any store can already expose themselves to stablecoins if owners want. The store can, for example, ask for payment in USDT (ERC20) and at the same time allow the user to pay in Bitcoin Cash. If the user wants to pay in the same coin that the store wants to receive, Trocador just displays the store address, so we don't profit from it, but we send the e-mail to the store when the transaction is created. Another cool thing is that projects can suddenly start accepting any cryptocurrency, even if they just have a Bitcoin Cash wallet. In my honest opinion, the future will be like this: currencies will be competing with each other and it's not up to us to force users or stores to accept one or another currency. All we need to do is allow both buyers and sellers to use their own prefered form of money.

Announcing Bitcoin Cash Node v26.0.0__Release Announcement: Bitcoin Cash Node v26.0.0__ The Bitcoin Cash Node (BCHN) project is pleased to announce its major release version 26.0.0. This release of Bitcoin Cash Node (BCHN) is marked as a major release, not due to consensus changes, but because it changes an interface (the rpcbind / rpcallowip options) for security reasons in a way that is not completely backward compatible, and therefore needs to be tagged as a major version in accordance with Semantic Versioning. However, for other practical purposes, this version is more like a minor release, containing corrections and improvements. If you use the rpcbind / rpcallowip configuration options, you should read the associated Release Notes to understand that change, in case you need to adapt your configuration. BCHN users should consider an update to v25 or later prior to May 15, 2023 as mandatory. Users running v25 are not required to upgrade to v26.0.0, although we do recommend it. The v24.x.0 software will expire on May 15, 2023, and will start to warn of the need to update ahead of time, from April 15, 2023 onward. For the full release notes, please visit: https://github.com/bitcoin-cash-node/bitcoin-cash-node/releases/tag/v26.0.0 Executables and source code for supported platforms are available at the above link, or via the download page on our project website at https://bitcoincashnode.org For more information about the May 15, 2023 network upgrade, visit https://upgradespecs.bitcoincashnode.org/2023-05-15-upgrade/ We hope you enjoy our latest release and invite you to join us to improve Bitcoin Cash. Sincerely, The Bitcoin Cash Node team. --- _Note:_ _Big thanks to Josh Ellithorpe, who has already packaged the Docker images of BCHN v26._ https://hub.docker.com/r/zquestz/bitcoin-cash-node/ _Ubuntu builds are underway will follow in a short while._

Why is CZ covering for Barry Silbert?Genesis Trading has a large BCH short borrowed from Gemini Earn, which they cannot afford to cover, estimated at around [1 million](https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/v1lgmx/binaince_accumulating_about_1mln_bch_on_their_hot/) BCH. To reduce their apparent liability while they negotiate with creditors, Genesis wants the price of BCH to go down. On Tuesday, someone [deposited](https://blockchair.com/bitcoin-cash/transaction/f5751ebbe0bdcfe6ccb09c3a85f9ecbffe60089d0468b0a717c00be8e510a65e?o=0) 30,000 BCH at Binance and began selling it. However this failed to significantly lower the price as there were large bids at [Coinbase](https://cryptowat.ch/charts/COINBASE-PRO:BCH-USD) and [Kraken](https://cryptowat.ch/charts/KRAKEN:BCH-USD) to buy BCH just below $100. Arbitrageurs would withdraw the BCH from Binance and sell it at other exchanges. Faced with certain failure, the BCH selling at Binance was stopped and some was repurchased, causing a slight rise in price. Shortly thereafter, $177,777,776 BUSD was [issued](https://twitter.com/whale_alert/status/1610400743499915264) and used to purchase BNB, raising the market cap of BNB by over a billion dollars. This was then used as collateral to purchase large amounts of BTC, ETH and other coins on margin. They pumped the entire market to hide the price rise in BCH that otherwise would have been obvious. The fact that this was done with BNB makes it clear that Binance was in on the deal, and this wasn't just Silbert buying BUSD with his own money. This leaves Binance with a huge liability backed only by it's own (mostly worthless) BUSD and BNB. **Why is CZ covering for Barry Silbert???**
