Xylazine and the culling of addicts…The DEA has issued a new warning about xylazine. This drug is an animal tranquilizer which is not fit for human consumption. Regardless, it has ended up in heavy circulation mixed with fentanyl.
Fentanyl addicts, opiate addicts in general, will die more than ever as this continues. A xylazine overdose can not be helped with narcan. Injecting xylazine can easily lead to necrosis of the skin which can lead to loss of limbs and be deadly.
Kensington, the sad and hellish drug cesspool of Philadelphia, has the highest percentage of xylazine thus far. I feel that the addicts who live on the streets there have already been abandoned by society and the city. There will be even more deaths now. As society declines and collapse accelerates, the most needy among us will be culled. Xylazine seems an expedient way for this horror to go down. To me this is a sign of collapse as addicts die in their thousands and it’s just become an accepted part of modern life. There is no one coming to help, and no resources are being spared for addicts. Is it also possible that state actors are collecting global data on individual friend or foe? Would China create a dbase of Euro and US citizens that oppose China? I believe the answer is yes.
Seems like something a hostile state actor could make happen in the next 5-10 years, and if so, what's to stop them from deploying a large swarm to cripple an economy by taking out political, economic and military leaders?

Faith in Humanity as it applies to Collapse and a Potential Post-Collapse ParadiseIt seems people dont realize that the world on the other side of collapse has the potential to be infinitely more beautiful than this one.
Have you ever, as a kid, been walking in a public park and been deep enough into it where you could suddenly pretend youre in a totally different, completely natural world? Only to continue walking to find an edge/fence with suburbs or private property of some kind that cuts your adventure short? This is an immense feeling of loss, of disappointment with the world itself, with humanity.
Why isnt food everywhere anymore? Why is it only inside guarded buildings? Why isnt it right outside our homes, something as essential for life as food? Couldnt anyone boss us around and tell us what to do our whole lives insofar as we are disconnected from the earth and its food? Have you ever tasted fresh picked strawberries and noticed they taste many times better than anything that has gone through a shipping process? Wouldnt all of our food taste worse after shipping? Why do we insist on monocrops and a vast cumbersome shipping infrastructure rather than growing food right where we live? Isnt any other arrangement doomed for control, for centralized power exploiting/manipulating the populace?
Would a world where there was food grown everywhere be better or worse than this current one? Wouldnt it be a liberation of the tyranny of slaving away for someone else in order to stay alive? Edible vegetation, *everywhere*. And, if the method of agricultural was regenerative, we could, as a species, utterly reverse the damage done and even bring forth more life and beauty than was around before our arrival here.
What if people only had to spend two hours a day tending to their homes and gardens to stay alive, allowing for the other time to be spent however they wished? Carving pottery and silverware, woodwork on their own homes, building their own homes, sewing their own clothing, making music, making love, writing books, writing poetry, playing games of their own designs whether intellectual or physical, exploring the realm of non-digital analogue inventions much more deeply (steampunk esque), inventing new analogue musical instruments, exploring a landscape without the notion of private property nor one with invisible behavior regulating fields everywhere called 'laws' (you can only do X kind of human activity on this particular area of earth)..
Imagine if you could explore the entire planet by foot and boat with no legal hinderances anywhere. Where you would always be able to find some shelter and warmth, because humanity has shifted to an operating paradigm of love rather than fear.
Where there was no more light pollution. You can see the beauty of the night sky again. Real physical human comminity exists again. All of your relationships shift to a real, analogue sphere of engagement rather than a faux, digital parasocial sphere..
The sounds of birds and insects returns. The sound of children laughing and playing wherever they please (dogs too), unworried about being run over by a vehicle nor where they can and cannot play. No more uber safe, uber boring designated areas called 'playgrounds' as we know them. Rather, the whole world becomes the playground. Wildlife returns, bees birds flowers trees forests.. everything that makes this place beautiful given a new opportunity to return. No more production of plastic waste and garbage in psychotic amounts. No more time spent wasted on the abject immoral slavery that is RENT. No more homelessness because private property is no longer enforced by the brute force power arm of a state. People rather COMMINICATE with each other to sort out living arrangements with the people around them, not just waving a document in front of someones face and calling the police.
Imagine if everyone decided the way that was most fun to live their lives was to contribute their own gifts to the world by adding to its beauty. If every individual had a commitment to life and love and beauty. This place would be paradise. Forget 'the breath of the wild' or 'the shire' or ancient greece or whatever, it would be unimagineably more beautiful than any of our current shoddy fictional or historical productions.
Use your imagination more, everyone. This current world is a sorry, sorry imagining. The dumbest possible arrangement we could manage, in fact. I could say much more about this better world, and how it compares to this current one. In every possible dimension of human exprience, it would be vastly more enjoyable.
There is nothing but longing in my heart concerning collapse. All of this, of course, requires that humanity undergo a very rapid evolution in their emotional intelligence and general awareness... but that is precisely what I believe collapse is: a catalyst for our collective evolution through a shared global trauma initiation and undeniable demonstration (the horrors are mounting) of the failure of our beliefs and attitudes that led us to collapse. A new belief is necessary - that human nature is essentially good. That life, existence itself, is essentially good. A new kind of faith - not in a particular god, ideology, set of beliefs, -ism or system of human managing, no... a sheer faith in the goodness of the fact of existence itself. Of life itself. Because it exists.
Is existence a good thing or a bad thing, essentially? What say you?
The implications/extrapolations of your answer informs the core of your reality and behavior, of what you believe is possible and impossible, whether you know this or not. We must have faith in life again, in ourselves, in humans. The real collapse happened ages ago, when we lost this essential faith in life, and we have merely been playing out the consequences of this loss for all of our written history. Collapse is the culmination of our absence of faith in humanity. We either will regain it, and paradise will ensue, or we will inevitably commit species wide suicide. I believe in the former, because human beings are adaptable, resiliant, beautiful, and have been longing to love each other and reunite with their fellow brothers and sisters for a very long time now. That longing seeks fulfillment, which is fast approaching. The age of seperation has nearly reached its zenith.
Consider this deeply, if you would: Could we have ever made this world paradise from a place of faithlessness in our own species and selves? What were our expectations, exactly? Isnt it obvious that only a dystopia could be generated from such faithlessness in ourselves?
And, inversely, what kind of world would a faith in humanity bring about? Where we essentially trusted each other and ourselves instead of essentially distrusting? This current one is based on faithlessness in ourselves, and lo and behold it is collapsing and is a living hell.
Let us try having faith in each other and see what happens. We havent tried it for a very, very long time. No more power heirarchies, no more states, no more systems of reward and punishment, laws upheld by threat of violent force,.. no. We need a friendship orientation with existence again, with life on this planet, with each other, with ourselves.

Finally, an article that begins to source the blame for Collapse more on the human desire for comfort and ease (a good thing), rather than SOLELY due to the economic system (a bad thing). Yes, greed, profits and all the rest are contributing factors. But so is modern medicine, technological advances (especially in agriculture), universal education, and dozens of other variables.
One might even say that man is a VICTIM of his own Success over Nature. I mean, the discovery of the polio vaccine wasn't motivated by capitalism or socialism. It was motivated in the least in some part out of an impulse to decrease human suffering. It succeeded. People lived longer. More mouths to feed. More naked apes to root around seekingt comfort.
The problem is, our cultures did not adapt quickly enough to the problems posed by our affluence. It's a sophisticated issue, IMHO, not reduceable to a slogan and/or an economic system. Or am I wront.

US military has said to start preparing for war with China by 2025. A new trend of nearshoring has started where manufacturing is leaving China and moving to Mexico. Protests in Athens. SVB collapse is basically going to ruin the economy. Credit Suisse in essence has collapsed. The government is relying on Buffet to save us all. The bond market is screwed and banks are all going to go under from bank runs.
The only thing I can think of doing is buying natural resources and deregulated currencies. What the hell am I supposed to do?

Video games are most certainly not a significant contributing factor in the decline of literacy, you have to be literate to play the vast majority of video games so if anything they have probably helped to blunt increases in illiteracy.
I also don't see why porn, something that has existed in some form for hundreds of not thousands of years would have a significant effect on literacy rates.
Equity based grading, depending on context and circumstances is a something that is occasionally fair and needed, if a student is putting the effort into doing the absolute best they can, they should have that effort recognized to some degree.
Discipline is often racist, with children who aren't East Asian or White often facing it more often and more severely for lesser reasons then most East Asian and White children do, and discipline is also often classist with children of wealthy families far less likely to face discipline than those of other levels of financial wellbeing.
And for the one that made me mad, because it's personal to me as the child of one, a lot, if not the vast majority of single parents are in no way, shape or form contributing to the decline of literacy rates. Society snubbing single parents and making it harder for them to spend time with their child due to the insane imbalance of work-life balance, discrimination against single parents and their children, and resources that once aided single parents being defunded are all far bigger issues than the fact that there are single parents.

I can't take any talks on water conservation that don't eliminate lawn maintenance and take precautions to prevent chemical spills and corporate pollution seriously.I'm listening to some bigwigs talk about reducing showers as the path forward and it just pisses me off. Charging everyone more to carry out the necessary basics of living while overlooking the elephant in the room is so typical. We're dumping massive amounts of water down the drain, with added RoundUp and other chemicals, just to have the velvety green lawns that serve no purpose when we could have real, natural foliage. The impulse to use the rich as scapegoats to blame collapse on is an attempt to find an excuse to do nothing. It is an abdication of responsibility. The average First Worlder is not as innocent as commonly portrayed on this sub.According to the Global Footprint Network, if all 7 billion people lived like the people of the United Arab Emirates, for instance, then roughly 5 Earths would be required to sustain them. The United States of America isn't far behind, requiring roughly 4 Earths. On the other hand, countries like Bangladesh, while still overshooting beyond their geographical limits, do so by much less, requiring only 0.57 of a single Earth.
If there’s anybody who can begin to pretend to be innocent it’s probably the poor souls in the Third World on which the First World builds it’s prosperity. Oh and maybe the Amish plus the few contemporary hunter gatherer populations that still remain. The average Third Worlder objectively has less of an impact on this problem than your average First Worlder because their too poor to afford anything but basic necessities.
Do you think corporations just manufacture things for fun? The average human in the First World consumes all the products that the “rich and corrupt fucks” manufacture and produce. That’s a fact. I’m so upset and worried about the state of the world, and I want to helpI’m not a pessimist, but every day it gets harder and harder to believe there is still hope for the future of humanity. Negative thoughts are nothing new to me, as I’ve spent just about every waking moment over the span of well over 10 years on the Internet, a place that exposes and constantly updates on the best and the worst of humanity at all times. So, at this point, I’ve become pretty desensitized to even the worst of the worst, which just makes times where I’m genuinely worried even scarier. All I’m saying is that I’m not some edgy/depressed teen who just found out that death is a thing -- This is some serious sh*t that concerns basically all of humanity.
Where do I even begin? I think I know. Let’s start with the fact that most people who know the world has problems and want to solve them don’t actually understand how to solve them. So many people try to clean up the effect rather than preventing the cause.
Example-
Cause: Rough childhood, surrounded by negative people and things, never given a reason to feel happy.
Effect: Becomes a murderer.
Widely accepted solution: Clean up the effect. Throw murderer in prison.
Effect of solution: Murdered people are still dead. Friends/family of murdered people are still depressed. People continue to become murderers.
Okay, I understand that it’s a lot harder to identify and prevent a cause than to identify and clean up an effect. I understand that cleaning up an effect is still better than nothing. But we spend so much time on this sh*t that nobody is actually focusing on what’s MORE IMPORTANT: preventing the cause!
How can we reduce the number of murderers? Trace back the roots of the problem!
It seems the person’s parents were rough on them, maybe we should help parents parent better by giving out helpful tips and advice, maybe even mandate a parent training course to initiate new parents and help them learn what the best ways to parent are before they take on such a stressful endeavor?
It seems the person was bullied at school, maybe we should boost morale in schools so that students aren’t so negative? Make classes more fun and engaging? Promote healthy teamwork? Same things apply for a negative work environment.
Do you see what I’m saying? It’s genuinely insane how much further ahead we would be as a society if we simply used this mindset. It would quite literally solve nearly all first world problems, right off the bat.
Another mindset we need to adopt is to not fight fire with fire. Seriously? Why do I have to say this? This phrase is quite literally one of the most well known and most repeated phrases in history, yet people still fight fire with fire. People just aren’t putting enough thought into what it actually means. If someone’s had a bad day and is cussing you out, what do you do? Cuss at them back? NO! Do you clean a sh*t stain with more sh*t? Or do you clean it with a stain remover? You don’t respond to something negative with more negativity -- what do you think’s gonna happen? You respond with positivity, to try and cancel out the negative. It’s not an absolutely flawless solution every time, but it’s sure as hell more effective than fighting fire with fire.
In addition, the world, as I see it, is a cause-and-effect chain reaction, so EVERYTHING that anyone does has a REASON. That doesn’t mean committing crimes isn’t bad, I’m not condoning that, don’t get my message twisted. What I’m saying is that every person is a product of their environment, so anything they do is not really THEIR fault. We can hate the crime, but still pity the criminal. Makes sense?
And yes, I do also believe that that applies to good people as well. I can’t express in words how lucky I feel for being born and raised in the perfect environment to be the way I am. The fact that I’m a positive person rather than an asshole or a criminal or terrorist or whatever is my luck, and I’m grateful for that. Like a seed that fell from a tree and got randomly blown by the wind into the perfect location to grow.
This also supports why we should prevent the cause of negative things rather than clean up bad things that have already happened. Not everyone is lucky enough to be born in the right circumstances to be a good person. Everyone has a tipping point, and many people in this world have gotten unlucky and gotten pushed past their tipping point by having too many bad experiences at once, too many and they can’t take it. So it’s our duty to make sure nobody gets pushed past their tipping point.
One last thing that I can’t stress enough: A person’s feelings ARE their reality. If someone gets mad, sad, or upset in any way over something that you don’t get upset over, they are not “overreacting”. It is quite f**cking literally a scientific FACT that chemicals being released in our brains is what makes us feel a certain way. So if someone acts as if the world is gonna end over something you think is small, they are not being a “drama queen”. It is their reality that the world is gonna end. No, that doesn’t mean that their feelings dictate the truth. All it means is that the way they’re feeling is no different than if the world was genuinely going to end. So have some sympathy. It goes the same way with people who laugh at things most might find dark, disturbing, or serious. If they laugh, that’s not their damn fault. It’s a different story if they laugh and then proceed to act as if it’s genuinely nothing serious. Like, I might laugh at a well-done dark joke about some massacre, but I won’t pretend that the actual loss of lives itself was funny, or say that people who don’t find it funny are “sensitive”. It’s also worth pointing out, though, that some people might fake their emotions if they’re trying to manipulate you, but this paragraph wasn’t about that. This paragraph is solely describing people’s actual feelings and emotions.
These four philosophies alone, if widely accepted, could genuinely change the f***ing world. Do you know those memes where the text says something like “Society if ___” or “The world if ___” and it shows an image of a futuristic utopia? This is quite literally that, except not a joke.
I swear that society is gonna collapse because damn near everyone seems to be in a 24/7 state of anger and/or sadness and nobody wants to think critically or listen to the people who do think critically. Everyone takes their anger out on each other, inevitably making other people angry which causes them to take their anger out on others. It’s an endless, repetitive, degenerative cycle, and I’m tired of it. I try so hard just to make peace among my friends, but they hardly ever listen to me even when I tell them the things that made me realize why I should treat others with kindness and respect even if I don’t get kindness and respect back. Change does happen, but so, so slowly. How the hell can I expect the whole world to get better if I, a person who puts literally 100% of their effort into making people get along, can’t even manage to improve a group of 10 people?
Why are so many people so close-minded? Isn’t the goal to achieve happiness? If it is, then why the hell are so many people seemingly seeking the opposite? It drives me absolutely nuts!
Okay, well, I do understand why people are this way, to an extent. I understand that humans naturally have positive traits that can be negative to others, like pride, selfishness, greed, and so on, but it’s just so damn annoying. I’ve managed to channel those inner feelings, so why can’t everyone else? Just because it’s hard doesn’t mean it’s not worth it. Just because you want to “live life simply” doesn’t mean anything. Look. Life isn’t simple. It never will be. Life is complicated as f**k and that is totally beyond our control. If it were up to me, I’d make life simple, so we wouldn’t have to worry about this shit so much, but it’s not. So just like me, everyone else just has to deal with it.
If we don’t come to terms with it and don’t deal with it, though, we’re doomed. And that’s that.

Funny but the real train derailing was a distraction, because the explosion was a set up and it wasn't Vynil Chloride like they be saying.
The explosion was a gay bomb. You can look it up online, the US military was actually working on a gay bomb and it is public knowledge. They exploded it in East Palestine and used the train accident as a cover up.
How do I know? My father-in-law works at a company that keeps an app called Hornet which is a gay dating/fucking app like Grindr. He showed me the amount of accounts in East Palestine (and also a bunch of small towns upwind) skyrockted starting three days after the explosion. Just so you have an idea, under 3% of the male population in East Palestine had a Hornet account before the explosion, now almost 40% of them have an account on it. And that's just on this one app. My father-in-law knows people who work at Grindr (they know each other because of the gay business conventions) and he doesn't know the exact number but they say like half the men of East Palestine are active on Grindr as of the last month. It was a great success.

What is your opinions on covid and vaccines?While most media gives the impression that there are only two trains of thought on covid and vaccines, there are actually a great many combinations of what just happened in the last three years. And heaven forbid you "intimidate" law enforcement through "disabling the critical infrastructure" represented by a police car, by putting a flyer under its windshield. Has anyone else played this game that lets you try and attempt to prevent the climate crisis?I found this game through the related book called Half-Earth. Basically it lets you plan the whole world economy to attempt keep warming below 1 degrees. It just makes me realize how damn miniscule the chances are we'll ever get close to that.
Like, keeping warming under 1.5 is what's agreed upon in the Paris agreement right? Playing this game and realizing how hard it is to get there even while having control of literally the whole world, the outlook seems pretty bleak.

4: Will the plastic be the cause of extinctions well before then?
5: Will we ever develop or evolve ANYTHING capable of cleaning it up?
My youth feels like a burdenHad I been born earlier and were therefore older now I could have built my life up while not on the precipice of collapse. As of now every action I take in the name of some better future stands in direct contradiction to the fact that I know that this current ever-deteriorating condition only has a couple more decades left in it and all my goals are rendered useless in the face of it.
