I have not read Solana’s white paper. I’ve read a handful of the projects that interest me. I find “white paper” is just a trendy term to throw around when in reality they don’t mean much beyond the method of validation and tokenomics, which I find CoinMarketCap is sufficient for most. Im sure the white paper is very impressive, but for me, the macro is more important when evaluating an investment. If things change maybe my opinion will change. Im open minded.

Isn’t amp suppose to be collateralizing the txs?? So as long as wallet balance > cost, the tx should always settle. I mean isn’t that the whole point of amp as a token? SPEDN should simply allow txs to pass through while settlement happens in the following seconds/minutes.. right? Flexa is not a decentralized protocol. It’s a company. They have to subsidize some on chain fees.

There is always a fee on chain. Flexa as a centralized company has to make it free on its network. I’m sure there will be a more decentralized protocol that comes along and does what Flexa does for users who want that option. A comparison would be using the free Spotify service where you don’t pay for individual streams vs downloading (staying on chain) and “spending” the hard drive space to store media.

I believe that is intentional. The low budget diy design choices are almost polar opposite to most of the overdone crypto projects rn. I think these choices are purposeful. The long term believers in this project are a different breed of humans.. the slow roll out, diy aesthetic, no monetary transfer, daily action… the people who locked up for 3 years will press that fucking button for 3 years.

Earn is controlled by a separate company, Genesis. Has nothing to do with Gemini. Earn accounts can be frozen while Gemini trading balances are unaffected. From the perspective that investing in the most speculative of assets is gambling, yes. But I believe in the ethos of crypto and participate in all the L1s I buy into.
