I'm happy for her. I'm just saying this is not a good move by YG in this situation, considering the age of the members is a big marketing tactic and it's emphasized with the name of the group. When they revealed the 1st member I was mad because she was too young.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on February 5, 2023 11:16:06Exactly. And nice try but I was 1 of the biggest haters when tripleS revealed the 12th member, a girl born in 2008. I didn't want that. I'm just considering each situation and what it means for each group.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on February 5, 2023 11:11:54My point is she makes the group less interesting because they lose the appeal of being an extremely talented group formed only by minors that didn't have many years to develop their skills.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on February 5, 2023 11:06:40Babymonster being cute or badass is not important for me. An adult hanging out and performing with 6 minors is. It was funny seeing people lose their minds over a group of kids doing something extraordinary, kinda like Babymetal in the past. With this girl onboard they will lose some of that appeal.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on February 5, 2023 11:04:15The age gap is crazy considering what Babymonster is supposed to be. I know there are groups with big age gaps like that but it is not a good idea in this situation.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on February 5, 2023 10:59:09I disagree, it ruins the immersion completely in my opinion. Pharita will turn 18 this year, she could've been the leader easily just like Minji for NewJeans.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on February 5, 2023 10:57:27it's on their name, what you want to know? a 20yo is hardly a "baby"
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on February 5, 2023 10:55:17big difference between a 17 yo and someone who will turn 21 probably soon. They won't go for a cute concept but this is exactly why she doesn't fit. Cute, young girls being badasses is what makes this thing different. A 20/21yo will be just another adult acting that way.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on February 5, 2023 10:53:25I know but their whole concept is about very young girls being crazy talented. She doesn't fit.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on February 5, 2023 10:49:14Wow, she is almost a grandma /s Obviously very talented but the age difference is crazy. It doesn't make any sense.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on February 5, 2023 10:44:22"Don't mess with tripleS" I need to see the behind the scenes footage. This is funny.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on February 5, 2023 10:09:50"Don't mess with tripleS" I need to see the behind the scenes footage. This is funny.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on February 5, 2023 10:03:57They have a playlist called "Signal Weekly". Every Saturday the girls show what they did during the week, showing parts of the daily signal videos from Monday to Friday. If you're short on time I recommend you to watch these videos, then if you find something interesting in the middle you can see which week they are talking about and search for the daily video you want to see in detail. It's a fast way to catch up and you can always go back and watch later all the daily signals from the beginning. The Sunday Signals (SSSignal) are mostly random footage recorded by the girls themselves. They are interesting and different from the regular signals but not that important in the end.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on February 3, 2023 22:47:18Time to stan tripleS if you didn't yet. Looks like they will reveal many new things this month! Exciting times ahead!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on February 3, 2023 10:49:46We don't know. They didn't have names back then, they were just "Song A, Song B..."
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on February 2, 2023 10:35:31I've been saying this since day 1 but these tracklists are a reminder of how great tripleS' discography is gonna be. ;)
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on February 2, 2023 10:10:05I love the styling! Seoyeon in particular looks great!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on February 1, 2023 11:27:16I can't wait 2 weeks for this, I need this now!!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 31, 2023 10:21:07I can't wait 2 weeks for this, I need this now!!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 31, 2023 09:07:13she won sets before vs Vekic, and even won a match. But it's always tough.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 24, 2023 22:15:42Yeah and she also missed the "free points" from the tour finals.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 24, 2023 22:13:58Tight sets can't be good for Sabalenka, considering the H2H... this will be on her mind in the end of these sets. She needed something like 6/2 imo.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 24, 2023 21:52:51IDK what people are complaining, I'm loving these 1st strike tennis matches (like Rybakina-Ostapenko). It's like a modern version of serve and volley duels. I can see rallies during the clay season.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 24, 2023 21:50:19These women are so surprised when a 1st serve goes in that they almost never return it. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 24, 2023 21:46:22she played 6x against Vekic. Lost 5.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 24, 2023 21:34:46Fruhvirtova's DFs were a result of Vekic's ultra aggressive returns, this is an example. Or will people say that Sabalenka is still a junior and is not ready to compete at the top with that 2nd serve? lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 24, 2023 21:33:24Linette vs Vekic is going to be a fun semifinal.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 24, 2023 19:37:45These magazine cover-style teasers are interesting. Imagine a wall full of these posters. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 24, 2023 10:07:54She is 15 now. She is older than IVE's Leeseo or NewJeans' Hyein when they debuted (and it will take months for her to debut). Eunchae was also 15 when Le sserafim debuted. Not that I loved her inclusion but this is not as bad as people were saying the other day.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 23, 2023 10:20:39a 14 year-old like Leeseo or Hyein. At the end of the day she is no different (and she may debut even later as a 15 year-old).
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 23, 2023 10:15:24tuned into the american battle and now I feel like I'm watching a weird version of Agassi vs Sampras in early 90s. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 23, 2023 00:14:43Rune winning a slam right after Alcaraz will confirm the change of guard in tennis.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 23:28:59Vekic is 5-1 against Sabalenka in the H2H... Aryna hates to play against these aggressive returners. I bet she will feel the pressure and make tons of DFs. The H2H will be on their minds as well.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 23:08:32Damn, well played Vekic. Her serve made all the difference in the end. And she was clutch when she had to find good serves. Fruhvirtova's 1st serve went MIA in the 3rd set and it's pretty hard for her to win a set this way. Solid effort tho. Great experience and I'm looking forward to her next steps. Sabalenka vs Vekic is gonna be fun.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 22:54:25Inside out forehand return winner on the line from Linda to break. She is peaking now. Vekic had 30-0 this game. Crazy scenes.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 22:22:08now Fruhvirtova is hitting 2nd serve aces. Can you believe this is the same player from the 1st set? lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 22:16:41Vekic had some trouble but she played well under pressure to hold her serve in the 1st game of the 3rd set, stopping Fruhvirtova's momentum. 1-0*
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 22:14:25Fruhvirtova with an ace to win the 2nd set 6/1. 17 years-old!!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 22:01:16Vekic is imploding now. Great defense from Linda and she breaks again. Will serve for the set. *5-1
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 21:55:51Forehand winners: Vekic: 12 Fruhvirtova: 10 Another cool stat to show how Linda's FH is becoming more reliable this season.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 21:55:12Linda stopped gifting Vekic easy balls on the FH side. She reads the game well.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 21:52:07Fruhvirtova with the momentum now. This girl is so mature for her age. No signs of despair/negativity after that bad 1st set. And this is not the first time that she shows this. Great mentality.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 21:50:27Fruhvirtova has a good 1st serve. If she can have a higher 1st serve % this set she could make this interesting. She is definitely playing better now.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 21:39:02he banged her (according to Kyrgios).
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 21:24:38It's looking grim for Fruhvirtova, she is not playing as freely as she was against Vondrousova. Definitely feeling a bit nervous due to the 4th round and Vekic's ultra aggressive game. But I've already seen her recover from bad 1st sets like this before, like against Bencic last year in Charleston or the Muguruza match in the USO. Girl is a fighter and she reads the game well.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 21:21:03Why is Vekic still wearing that? She is gonna fry. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 21:10:05That dropshot down BP was gorgeous. Vekic is so underrated.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 21:03:04I think it's a better shot than Coco's tho. She hit lots of forehand winners against Vondrousova. It's looking much better than last season (possibly cause she is getting physically stronger).
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 21:01:16Linda Fruh looks nervous. Not a good start. Vekic is flying.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 20:56:20She is really flying under the radar but she is playing great this month.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 20:54:08I like how the Fruhvirtova sisters use slice sometimes to good results.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 20:52:29Vekic with an early break after playing a great rally on BP.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 20:47:33Vekic vs Fruhvirtova will start on MCA. Great opportunity for both. Vekic is the favorite but let's see how she handles the pressure of a 4th round as a favorite. I don't think she ever reached a slam QF before. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 20:38:28I didn't even care about her as a player but I can watch any match with her commentating.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 19:30:19and she lost to the Wimbledon champion who is in great form. This is not a bad loss.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 19:02:41Best scenario for people who love memes: JJ Wolf and Ostapenko winning this slam. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 18:50:37Vekic played against Fruhvirtova 12 days ago in Kooyong. [Highlights](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0XtDOAGJLw)
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 18:39:27Still the maknae for this comeback but it will be weird to hear "Soomin unnie" later. lol She wasn't in AAA so this is her actual debut, can't wait!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 22, 2023 10:39:20The massacre moved to the Rod Laver arena.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 22, 2023 00:04:56McEnroe was onto something. Maybe Nishioka has Khachanov exactly where he wanted!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 23:50:05Let's think positively. This could become the greatest comeback in tennis history!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 23:45:37Nishioka won't be able to sleep tonight. He will only hear "game Khachanov" in his mind for hours!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 23:41:21This is the biggest match of Nishioka's career btw. Maybe he is/was extremely nervous.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 23:33:28double bagel in the 4th round of a slam. lmfao
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 23:29:04Maybe Khachanov will finally fulfill his potential? Guy was very unplayable when he won the Paris masters a few years ago. Everybody thought he would be the best russian player.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 23:23:37strange... maybe he is out of energy. He played a lot of tennis lately.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 23:21:15I think I found Nishioka's nightmare match-up...
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 23:18:40Ostapenko and Rybakina can play 3 sets in 75 minutes. The max rally will last 4 shots. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 22:48:15RG champion vs Wimbledon champion in the QFs... both fighting for their 2nd slam. And they're playing well enough to win this tournament imo.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 22:45:39Ostapenko just bulldozed Coco. Lol That was brutal.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 22:44:15and all of a sudden it's 3-3... I called it a few minutes ago. There is no safe lead against Rybakina and that serve. She can find her way back in these sets quickly.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 21:53:29Rybakina can change this set really fast with some quick service games. Iga needs to be careful and focused.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 21:45:45Iga starting this set with an early break. *2-0
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 21:37:56She is only 23, she has plenty of time. And playing like this she could very well have 2 slams next week.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 21:27:01Rybakina won that set like a boss. Didn't break a sweat and finished with an ace.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 21:24:39upgraded Petra imo.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 21:22:16People talk all the time about Elena's serve but she also has these monstrous returns. That was huge.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 21:12:41Rybakina beat Iga not even a month ago in Dubai (and also in the juniors). She is not scared. She definitely knows she can beat Iga.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 21:10:17Turns out Iga had a great start. She had game points or break points in every game played.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 21:03:42Unstoppable force meets an immovable object. 1 of the best servers in the game against 1 of the best returners. This match-up is especially fun because of that.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 21:01:56Not a great start for Iga. A warning and then losing 2 games where she had game points/BPs.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 20:52:44I definitely think Elena will have a great season. She just needed some time to adjust to the life of a slam champion. The same thing happened to Iga after RG 2020. She only played great tennis again 6 months after that.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 20:50:05A battle of slam champions. These matches are always fun. Rybakina will probably swing freely here. Iga is in great form.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 20:40:59Rybakina is one of the few players that beat Swiatek in a final. [2017 Trofeo Bonfiglio](https://www.tcmbonacossa.it/en/trofeo-bonfiglio-2017/) on clay (juniors) Can't wait for this match. Should be fun.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 19:29:57They keep doing this lmao. Now watch Noskova have a great result in the middle east, then Fruhvirtova in the USA masters... lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 01:50:16I always say Brenda but what Linda is accomplishing so early in her career is no joke. Already has a WTA title and now is into the 2nd week of a slam (in just her 2nd slam). The sky is the limit. It will be fun to see the two in the top 10 tho, just like in the Williams' time.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 01:15:13The fruity girls' era is just starting! The 15 year-old goes through the qualies to play her 1st slam at that age and gives a scare to a top 40 player. The 17 year-old reaches the 4th round of a slam (and maybe even more). Fun times ahead with these two!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 01:05:59Cramps I think (or blisters, she had the physio looking at that before the 3rd set).
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 00:59:57Fruhvirtova def. Vondrousova 7/5 2/6 6/3. What a rollercoaster of a match! The 17 year-old is in the 4th round of a slam. It's a shame that Vondrousova broke down physically in the end, she was playing so damn well. Hopefully she will have a great season. I hope Linda's thigh problem isn't too bad, I think she has a shot against Vekic. They played 1 week ago on Kooyong Classic and Vekic won but it was a fun, close match in high level. Amazing opportunity for both girls.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 00:56:27Fruhvirtova serving for the match after winning 4 games in a row (she was down 1-3, saving break points).
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 00:50:36I think Vondrousova has cramps, that's why she didn't call the physio (it's against the rules).
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 00:49:04yeah the fruity girls don't run from a fight. I love that!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 00:47:56Fruhvirtova just had a MTO and now Vondrousova seems to be feeling something. This has been a tough battle with some brutal rallies.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 00:45:12Fruhvirtova hit 34 winners so far. And she is playing against a great ball retriever (who is playing great). "Wozniacki 2.0" I swear if I see that nickname again... lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 00:39:28The battle of the czech goes on. Fruhvirtova saves a BP and holds. Still down a break in the decider. 2-3* Vondrousova.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 00:34:19insane backhand down the line from Fruhvirtova. And it wasn't the best point of the game. Vondrousova won a crazy rally playing like peak Federer with sublime final touch. Linda will have 1 of the best backhands of the WTA soon.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 00:24:10I don't think Fruhvirtova is doing much wrong aside of her 2nd serve issues. Vondrousova is simply peaking right now. She won two 6/1 sets against Jabeur, the 2nd seed for a reason.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 00:18:51True, there is nothing set yet. She definitely can improve a lot in the enxt years. I already noticed her 1st serve getting stronger and better. She is smart and is mentally strong. No one can know for sure who will be the better sister.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 00:08:0417 winners, 7 UEs, zero BPs allowed. Too good from Vondrousova on this set. 6/2 Let's see if she will keep this level or Fruhvirtova will come back stronger for the decider.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 21, 2023 00:04:33Linda's 2nd serve is still a bit of a problem for her. If she fix that it will help her a lot. As a comparison her sister barely hits double faults, even under massive pressure, so this is a more reliable shot for Brenda (and one of the reasons why I think she will be a better in a few years).
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 20, 2023 23:59:36Vondrousova is playing like a top player now. Serving well, barely missing and doing some magic during the rallies.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 20, 2023 23:53:29kinda like Kerber in that sense.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 20, 2023 23:42:12They played 1 week ago on Kooyong Classic. Vekic won 6/4 6/3 but it was a pretty good match.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 20, 2023 23:40:49What's your problem dude? She is 17. Any WTA title at that age is difficult to win.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 20, 2023 23:37:34Vondrousova's dropshots are some of the best on tour. It's crazy to see Fruhvirtova winning most of these points. Girl is fast.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 20, 2023 23:35:23Vondrousova looks annoyed. She just did the same celebration that Linda did in the previous point. lmao

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 20, 2023 23:30:10Vondrousova served for the set 5 minutes ago. Fruhvirtova wins the 1st set 7/5! Linda is very quickly becoming a mental giant. 17 years-old, remember.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 20, 2023 23:21:17Vondrousova is winning this on experience alone it seems. Other than that this match has been very close with Fruhvirtova dominating during some moments.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 20, 2023 23:10:08Some crazy rallies in this match (Fruhvirtova vs Vondrousova). This is a good start.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 20, 2023 22:55:22Fruhvirtova is hitting lots of backhand winners against Vondrousova on these slow courts. I don't know why some people think she is Wozniacki 2.0(?). Girl has power, but she chooses to use her brain instead of being a brainless ball basher. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 20, 2023 22:52:48Tiafoe servebotting like crazy now. Nothing Shang (or any other player) can do in this situation, except hold serve and try to play a great TB.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 18, 2023 01:07:04Linda Fruhvirtova is a few months younger I think.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 18, 2023 01:03:50Big foe is barely ahead thanks to his serve and good decisions under pressure but this is a close match. Shang is playing way above his ranking. It won't take long for this kid to reach the top 100.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 18, 2023 00:58:08This kid is the future. Alcaraz, Rune and Shang. The new big 3.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 18, 2023 00:43:39WTA's Ruud. Very consistent and will beat most players without too much trouble but can't win anything relevant.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 17, 2023 21:57:24I'm not saying she will win slams or that she plays 100% like Serena, she could win nothing and still give the same vibes due to her body type and game style (like Federer-Dimitrov). Serena is 1 of a kind.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 17, 2023 21:52:21Shnaider's kindness at the net must be very embarrassing for Sakkari who acted like a brat during the match. Great game to close it tho, Maria played well there under pressure. Great tournament for Shnaider. 4 wins and pushed a top 10 player very hard in the 5th match.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 17, 2023 21:47:55How can we describe Shnaider? Girl is basically a russian, teenager, lefty version of Serena Williams. How much she is gonna win we don't know but she gives me the same vibes.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 17, 2023 21:42:25Shnaider and Noskova will keep power tennis alive it seems. Both 18 and already in the top 100.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 17, 2023 21:28:30Kvitova-Kalinina underway.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 17, 2023 21:25:01Shnaider's forehands are crazy. What a shot.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 17, 2023 20:50:37Russia never runs out of good players, even after losing some to Kazakhstan. Look at all these good young players: Potapova, Shnaider, Rakhimova, Selekhmeteva, Avanesyan, the younger Kudermetova, the Andreeva sisters... Mirra Andreeva is top 300 at 15 years old. She is being overshadowed a bit by Brenda Fruhvirtova (#130) but her ranking is also very impressive already.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 17, 2023 20:22:57yeah, he lost only 3 games against Giron in a bo5. Perfect for him as well.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 17, 2023 19:56:23Courts are slow but baseline players can't hit with too much spin cause this ball loses pressure after a few shots, according to Rafa. Perfect conditions for Jannik Sinner imo. Could very well be his 1st slam.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 17, 2023 19:52:53Nice way of differentiate the AO from the USO. Making it become an indoor slam. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 17, 2023 19:24:17Extreme heat delays and rain delays... no wonder they have so many courts with roofs. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 17, 2023 19:21:10Shang vs Tiafoe should be interesting. The very talented 17 year-old boy against the big foe.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 17, 2023 19:18:28I heard she signed with them for 2 years early in 2021 (so, it's ending).

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 17, 2023 19:08:31So many good games to watch every day. We don't have a boring half of the draw this time. It was a problem for me in previous slams.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 17, 2023 19:05:17Linda Fruhvirtova def. Fourlis 6/0 6/4. The 2nd set was not pretty (her serve % dropped a lot) but she got the job done. Should give her a career high ranking around #70. As Kanepi is losing, Fruhvirtova will be favoured in the 2nd round vs Birrell. Good opportunity to reach her first 3rd round in a slam.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 16, 2023 21:41:38He will bully Alcaraz as well like he did in the last time they met. Some people are not ready for this conversation tho.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 16, 2023 21:21:25Fourlis finally plays well and wins a game. Huge scream in celebration. Let's see if she will give us a match now.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 16, 2023 21:12:21Fourlis had 40-0 and was finally winning her first game but Linda denied it. Game Fruhvirtova. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 16, 2023 21:06:56They do, they won tournaments before but due to the age and ranking difference they haven't been playing doubles together for some time. Now that Brenda is approaching the top 100 we may be able to see them playing doubles again soon.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 16, 2023 20:58:12Fruhvirtova 6/0 in the 1st set. This is not a match so far. Linda looks pretty solid.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 16, 2023 20:53:39Linda Fruhvirtova vs Jaimee Fourlis starting now on Court 13. After day 1 Linda is now the youngest player in the draw.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 16, 2023 20:15:15Azarenka wins the battle of Australian Open champions. 6/4 7/6(3) tough draw for Kenin but she is not playing bad this year. Hopefully she will have a good season.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 16, 2023 00:53:44Sasnovich def. Brenda Fruhvirtova 7/5 6/2. End of the road for the youngster but she will leave Australia as a better player for sure. Did well to go through the qualies. This is going to be a tough year. Now she is reaching the top 100 she will get bullied by these stronger, more experienced players but I expect a lot from her in 2024 and after. Tons of potential there.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 16, 2023 00:30:30Brenda's serve obviously is not Gauff's level but it is not bad for a 15 year-old. She is hitting aces against a top 40 player. If she works on that it could become a weapon in a few years.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 16, 2023 00:20:2716 year-old Bejlek is also playing a competitive set against a top player (20th seed Krejcikova). 3-3
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 16, 2023 00:01:18Sasnovich wins the 1st set. 7/5 More competitive than I was anticipating. Brenda did have a few opportunities to win this but Sasnovich did well to avoid that.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 23:53:48Now it was Sasnovich's turn to raise her level under pressure. Some good winners and she holds. 6-5*
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 23:49:25Brenda holds. 5-5 This little girl is really a mental giant in the making.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 23:43:36Sasnovich served for the set and didn't win a point. lol Brenda breaks with a backhand winner DTL. Always a fighter. *4-5
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 23:38:17Sasnovich breaks. 3-3 Starting to get into the match. Brenda tried to do too much in that game.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 23:28:43yeah, a perfect example of a player with zero confidence, carrying a losing streak.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 23:23:01Brenda holds. 3-1* Well, 3 games in a set vs a top 40 player is a small victory already, especially considering she doesn't have a great serve yet.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 23:21:22Sasnovich holds. I expect her to take control now. She was trying to finish the points too fast earlier.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 23:18:11Brenda 2-0. Sasnovich may be feeling a bit of pressure. Not easy to play against a great junior player who has nothing to lose.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 23:15:39Brenda breaks Sasnovich in the 1st game. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 23:10:49If she go on to win multiple slams in the future we will be able to say we were here from day 1. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 23:07:50Brenda Fruhvirtova vs Sasnovich warming up. I don't expect much of a match but this should be a good lesson to Brenda. Let's see if she can cause any problems for Sasnovich.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 23:03:23True but Brenda didn't beat a top 100 player yet. She is only starting to beat top 200 players consistently. Sasnovich will have too much game and experience for her, I fear.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 22:55:01BvdZ won finally. Brenda Fruhvrtova is next on that court. Time to watch a 15 year-old vs a top 40.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 22:47:40Now Moutet threw the racquet over the net in the direction of his bench after losing 2 BPs and the game (5th set). lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 22:43:27Moyuka Uchijima is making the life hard for Pera. She is a pretty good and young japanese player. 21 years old, almost top 100.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 22:33:37Moutet threw his racquet in the back fence 6 times during this game (after 2 separate points). What is wrong with this guy? lmao Now he got broken, lost the 4th set and is throwing his racquet again on his way to the bench.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 22:27:531st of many wins in grand slams for Shang. 17 years old. Remember this name!

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 21:20:20Not many people here watching the chinese kid it seems. Shang is 17 year-old my dudes. It is not everyday that we see a boy with this age in the main draw of a slam. It is not a wildcard, he came through the qualies. The potential this boy have is crazy. Looks like we will get another set or 2.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 21:15:553rd set TB for Shang-Otte.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 21:10:44I don't think it's too soon simply because I assume this is a bad match-up for Coco, considering how they play and win points. If she were up against Sabalenka or Garcia it would be tough indeed.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 21:09:21You suck but not Yosuke. He beat Rinderknech in 3 sets 6/3 6/3 6/2.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 21:01:10Shang is crazy good but this is the kind of situation that is dangerous for these kids. The veteran guy will make them earn the 3rd set and the body of the younger player may let him down as the bo5 match goes on. Let's see what happens.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 20:51:47Should be fun if we get a healthy Raducanu. She is playing very well this year, so far. Her 2021 forehand is back.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 20:48:09Her talent and speed is undeniable. If she fixes her mental hurdles she will be top 10 and fight to win slams imo.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 20:39:08Kostyuk def. Anisimova 6/3 6/4 Great to see Marta playing like this. Serve, return, movement, ballstriking, defense, mental. She is looking solid as hell. It's gonna be hard to beat her in this form! Tough draw for Amanda, she didn't play bad, I hope she knows it.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 20:31:54Kostyuk raised her level again and breaks right after. Amanda didn't win a point. Kostyuk will serve for the match. *5-4
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 20:26:05Amanda breaks after a great rally. 4-4. Nice to see Amanda fighting back after some disappointments in this set.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 20:23:35Amanda holds, stopping a bit of Kostyuk's momentum. Kostyuk leads *4-3 in the 2nd set.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 20:18:15Now Amanda had a 0-30 opening but Kostyuk held serve. I'm so impressed by Kostyuk's mental fortitude in tihs match. She is escaping some tough situations and playing very well when Amanda raises her level.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 20:14:56Amanda had 40-15 and got broken. Right after losing that long game. She also was dominating the BP but Kostyuk turned it around with some incredible defense. Amanda must be so frustrated right now.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 20:09:04Kostyuk wins a 8-deuce game, saving 3 BPs, to stop Amanda's momentum. That was a big game for both. 2-2 in the 2nd set.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 20:03:51Kostyuk's Wilson kit is pretty nice. Way better than this abomination that Nike players are wearing. I think she is the 1st player wearing Wilson.

They look like pretty good trainees with some potential but for a new big 4 group I'm not seeing the it factor + YG teasers are incredibly boring anyway. I will go back once they debut with (hopefully) something special, unique and more interesting for this era of Kpop, not children trying to be Blackpink with 3 more members.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 15, 2023 14:47:47I think Siniakova def. Gauff; Kostyuk def. Anisimova. As for the others I agree with you. I will read the full thing later, thanks for writing these. It's a lot of work but very interesting, especially for people who don't know some players or don't watch enough WTA tennis.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 09:25:08Siniakova def Gauff I think. She beat Coco in the BJK finals 2 months ago in 2 sets. Yes, Coco won Auckland but she didn't face a top 60 player, this match will be way harder.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 15, 2023 08:53:22This yearly thing will be an album where all the girls participate. We won't have songs for 24 girls, not even NCT does that, except in very special occasions and those are not songs they ever perform.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 14, 2023 09:04:11> Honestly I wouldn't be surprised at all if tripleS concerts in the future involve performances from "disbanded" subunits. That's exactly what is gonna happen, considering they will only have subunits on stage for every performance (and the units break after each comeback). If they don't perform "AAA" songs or "OT10" songs or "KRE" songs what are they gonna perform? There is no full group songs, only (temporary) subunits. Well... they could always make some members perform songs from other subunits (like Kotone performing Generation) but they would have to practice and everything... I guess it wouldn't be a problem for a special performance.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 13, 2023 22:04:29Iga is still the big favorite imo but I like Kostyuk's draw (except the R1 vs Anisimova). This could be her big breakthrough in a slam if she survive that 1st match. I think Zheng Qinwen will go far as well, it's hard to bet on her to win the whole thing, considering she doesn't have a title yet but it happened a few times in the previous seasons (Swiatek, Raducanu...), she definitely has potential to join that club. Vondrousova is a good pick tho, she looks healthy again and has a decent draw.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 13, 2023 18:51:21Finally had some time to analyze the WTA draw in detail and I loved it! This tournament has so much potential. Could be an Australian Open for the ages!

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 12, 2023 02:37:26and Andreeva lost. Maybe she needed her sister (the other 15 year-old, already top 300) there to do it. Their time to reach slam main draws together will come as well.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 12, 2023 01:05:39People were calling Bejlek a defensive player yesterday. Girl has 22 winners in 15 games today. What they don't know is that Sara is smart as hell. She just let Parks selfdestruct and it was enough. She has a high tennis IQ AND weapons if needed.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 12, 2023 00:57:37Brenda will definitely be better imo but Linda is making some nice progress. Yeah, she lost to Raducanu last week but it was a high quality match overall. Her 1st serve is becoming really good. And it is not everyday that a 17 year-old win a WTA title. She has that under her belt already. Let's see how she will do this season, which will be her 1st full season in the WTA tour.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 12, 2023 00:44:27That was impressive as hell but Gauff was already serving faster than most women. Brenda's serve isn't that great yet, she had to rely on other things.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 11, 2023 21:07:02yeah that's so weird for me. I know about cultural differences and all that but high school teens date with people a few years older (like 3~5) all the time in my country.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 11, 2023 19:02:26or you know... maybe they are trying to change this and make it acceptable? I have no problem with my favorite idol dating someone, even as rookies. Kpop fans need to wake up.

I shouldn't have seen this H2H before the match... this is a huge opportunity for the little girl but I fear she will be too tired or slightly injured after that battle against Snigur yesterday.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 11, 2023 14:14:26I see what you're talking about, she gives that impression indeed but she definitely can convey emotions with the [right song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIobWhLlzUk). I would love to hear many OSTs from Lily.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 11, 2023 13:09:41> There are vocalists that allow you feel emotions that the song conveys through their voice and stage presence. All the ones I mentioned above can do this. Maybe you are not familiar with them or didn't see enough of them aside from title tracks and MVs, so I linked some clips in a hurry but they have more amazing content if you're interested.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 11, 2023 12:31:04> How many fourth gen vocalists emote when singing? There are plenty of girls that can do this now. This talk about "4th gen can't sing" is old already. Off the top of my head: (G)I-DLE Minnie, (G)I-DLE Yuqi, Loona Haseul, Loona Chuu, Everglow Mia, Everglow Sihyeon, Weeekly Monday, Weeekly Soeun, Weeekly Jihan, STAYC Isa, STAYC Sieun, STAYC Yoon, aespa Winter, aespa Ningning, Purple Kiss Swan, Purple Kiss Goeun, NMIXX Lily, NMIXX Haewon, Lesserafim Yunjin, Lesserafim Chaewon, Kep1er Chaehyun, NewJeans Hanni, NewJeans Danielle, NewJeans Hyein, NewJeans Haerin, Lapillus Shana, Lapillus Chanty, tripleS Dahyun... and I'm sure there are more that I forgot to mention.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 11, 2023 11:05:23I have that in my mind. She is good at 15 and will get better. I clicked on this fully expecting to be blown away by YG's new group and this did nothing to me unfortunately. It is what it is.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 11, 2023 10:46:12> TBF, singing louder doesn't necessarily mean singing better. There's definitely a space for pulling a song back and being understated. I agree, crazy high notes are not everything. My favorite Kpop singers are not high note especialists. But even considering that I don't think this is as good as the stans think. She is only 15 tho, she is already pretty good and will get better.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 11, 2023 10:40:04I don't care about FIFTY FIFTY, I just mentioned a random group that came to my mind at that moment. Not everything is "promotion".
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 11, 2023 10:30:28What the groups I like have to do with this? Feel free to disagree, this is a forum, not an echo chamber.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 11, 2023 10:28:57I'm not hating, I just expect more from a big4 group. If this is good enough for you then what can I say... after years following Kpop I'm not easily impressed anymore. I saw this same clip a thousand times. The FIFTY FIFTY vocalists (a small group) sound better, for example.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 11, 2023 10:15:01She sounds good but it feels that I've seen other girls singing at this level 100x. Sorry YG but I'm not impressed with this teaser.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 11, 2023 10:09:02In case you guys missed it, 15 year-old Brenda Fruhvirtova came back from 5/7 1/5* down to beat Daria Snigur (the ukrainian girl who beat Halep in US Open a few months ago) 5/7 7/6(3) 6/3, to reach R3 of qualies. She is 1 match away from the main draw on her 1st grand slam.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 11, 2023 09:43:55Bejlek can be very aggressive tbh like she was in US Open last year, even going to the net to finish points. She is short for a tennis player but she is a strong girl and can hit the ball hard. She probably saw Parks selfdestructing and just played defense today.

She was down 1-5* with Snigur serving for the match. Not sure if she has anything left for a 3rd set tho, she is only 15 and is hot as hell in Melbourne today.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 10, 2023 12:28:35Wimbledon also gave WCs to Samsonova and TVR for doing well, like Noskova did. The AO decision to ignore her is a disgrace.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 10, 2023 01:54:50It is not unfair, she is a massive talent but she didn't do a great job last season in some tournaments, which caused her ranking to slip a bit. She really had some bad losses like this. Thankfully now she won't have to play qualies anymore.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 10, 2023 01:50:56She lost to Parks, Barthel, Mcnally and Bartunkova in her last 4 tournaments of 2022. That's what I'm talking about. When you consider that this loss to Sebov is not so surprising.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 10, 2023 01:40:42It's a shame. I blame the AO directors who gave a WC to a walking bye instead of Linda, after Venus withdrew (and after seeing Noskova beating top 10 players in a WTA 500).
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 10, 2023 01:12:37She is also still inconsistent. She was out of top 100 until 1 week ago for a reason. Her peak level is clearly very high tho but there are lots of players like that. In the end what matters is consistency. Let's hope she find it soon.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 10, 2023 00:23:16Fruhvirtova masterclass in the 2nd set TB. 7-0 (after saving 6 set points, and after not converting 4 match points earlier in the set). Very mature performance from Brenda considering all the stress she felt during that set. Stevanovic all of a sudden became Djokovic when she saved those match points and in the games after, defending everything and not missing a single ball. It would be tough for Brenda to play a 3rd set after that. Great escape. Many experienced players would have crumbled. 15 year-old Brenda Fruhvirtova d. Natalija Stevanovic 6/0 7/6(0) Also avenged the loss to the same Natalija in Buenos Aires 50 days ago.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 9, 2023 23:07:15What a crazy set. Stevanovic saved 4 match points, then Brenda saved 6 set points. 6-6 in the 2nd set now, TB.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 9, 2023 22:57:10yeah she is playing well this set. She was incredibly clutch in these last 2 games, Brenda didn't do much wrong.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 9, 2023 22:29:48Crazy to see a little girl demolishing a pro like that in a grand slam venue. Brenda is not like Coco, who was pretty strong and fast for her age. Physically Brenda is like the average 15 year-old. But so freaking talented and smart.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 9, 2023 22:10:06Brenda Fruhvirtova wins the 1st set vs Stevanovic. 6/0 Not bad for the 1st grand slam set of her pro career. Finished with an ace btw.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 7, 2023 19:02:19There are some japanese GP999 girls that were rumored some time ago and are inactive on IG (which is a good sign) but we didn't get any new hints. Sakurai Miu and Kuwahara Ayana.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 7, 2023 10:37:41It is not a separate thing btw, this is only temporary and to help with promos in Japan. They can't make 24 girls live together, so they will always have things like this but the members will meet, change rooms and dorms, live in Korea, form new subunits, practice together, etc... they will all going to get close to each other in the future.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/GirlsPlanet999 on January 7, 2023 10:24:21Because they are playing to gain WTA points as well.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 6, 2023 10:18:24Maybe they wanted something more traditional than practical? It's a traditional japanese room.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 6, 2023 08:08:49Saw some people calling Brenda Fruhvirtova "a junior player" the other day, "she is not ready for the top 100 level", etc, just because Leylah beat her 6/1 6/1. Turns out Leylah beat Julia Grabher (ranked #82) 6/0 6/1 in the 2nd round...
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 5, 2023 19:33:32We never know what is gonna happen, tripleS is full of surprises but the dorm for only 4 girls makes me think this Haus is temporary like Haus 1 and 2. I think they will simply be using it to reveal new girls, make them comfortable (cause it is not easy to join a group that have 10 other girls already, that are comfortable with each other, so the new girls will be in a similar position) and promote tripleS in Japan with fan meetings and things like that. Maybe they will make 2 units of 7 girls after they reveal S14. I'm thinking OT10 debut in February, KRE debut in April, Kotone debut in May/June. Modhaus said they want to release 4 or 5 albums each year.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 5, 2023 09:41:48True. Kostyuk has everything to be a top player if she fixed what is between her ears! She struggled hard with the war last season (and the pandemic in the previous), maybe 2023 will be much better.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 4, 2023 22:27:26Her career path is scarily similar to Swiatek's. Won a junior slam (RG) and then moved to the pro circuit, didn't get wild cards for bigger tournaments, didn't try to play WTA qualies, just played/won the ITFs and was focusing on improving her game without unnecessary, large steps.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 4, 2023 21:17:49Noskova's 1st title is coming it seems. It's her or Qinwen (also looking for a 1st title). WTA Next Gen is insane.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 4, 2023 21:03:17It was risky before their debut. Now they managed to build enough hype and are basically set for success. As a new group they sold more albums on their debut (week #1) than any other group ever (except big 4 groups and Produce/Kep1er). It's really impressive. They are the next big thing in Kpop, right after the "big 4" girl groups.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 4, 2023 19:05:23I think Limelight will be a regular group. They only said that to be able to add Yeseo and Mashiro later without complaints.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 4, 2023 14:00:35Someone came up on tripleS twt with an interesting possibility. We might be able to vote/choose members to send to the Japan Haus (and send JP Haus members to Korea Haus).
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 4, 2023 13:52:45While this makes a lot of sense there is another possibility: they didn't have time to debut/promote KRE in 2022 (Chaeyeon, Jiwoo and Soomin were busy with school) and maybe they want the full group album to be be the 1st tripleS comeback every year.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 4, 2023 13:35:01> I'd like to see someone in kpop do what AKB does and really embrace having tons of members with rotational lineups, video calls with all the members even if they're not actively promoting a song, chopping and changing lineups for live performances. This is basically what tripleS is gonna be. The last part we will see when they go on tour.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 4, 2023 10:04:24nah, I'm sure we're gonna see all those songs at some point. They're gonna have many subunits, they can't afford to waste demos, especially when all these songs received 40+% votes. People like these songs. They just liked the other song a bit more.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 4, 2023 09:58:50I think S12 will be revealed mid-January. I doubt she will be alone for too long. This should be similar to S1-S2. The girls even said "she will be the Seoyeon of Japan". Hyerin was revealed 2 weeks after Seoyeon and then we watched the adventures of the 2 in the Haus. Seoyeon's "home alone" arc was fun tho. I expect the same from Kotone's!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 4, 2023 09:56:10Modhaus is nothing like BBC. They are a well managed company with great professionals in every area. The girls are being treated so well! They get gifts every week.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 4, 2023 09:50:12Just to clarify, while this is a subunit (cause it is not featuring all the members tripleS will have) I don't think it will have a name like Acid Angel. I think they will be simply "tripleS". We heard Modhaus plan to release an album with all the members every year, kinda like what NCT does, and this is what it is. They're releasing an album with all the members they had before they revealed Kotone in 2023. She is not part of this because they already recorded the songs and have been practicing in the last month or so. She will be in other subunits.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 4, 2023 09:41:23Welcome! They are a content machine (they currently have 438 videos [on their channel](https://www.youtube.com/@triplescosmos/videos) and these are not exactly super short videos!). The girls are all so fun and they have a S-tier staff.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 3, 2023 09:24:01I didn't realize how young she was on Girls Planet. She is a 2004 liner, which is middle of the pack for tripleS. She is gonna have some unnies.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 3, 2023 08:39:41Limelight is completely nugu while tripleS is only behind the big4 groups in sales and hype (comparing groups right after debut). Weird take if you wish Kotone to be succesful.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 3, 2023 08:21:48Hopefully Minami! This is proof that she doesn't need to be in Korea to join tripleS.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 3, 2023 08:08:03Raducanu is still pretty fast and her backhand can match Coco's. The only way I can see Coco beating her is if Coco serve very well and count with a really bad serving day from Emma.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 3, 2023 01:53:08Gauff vs Raducanu would be similar to Gauff-Swiatek. Just look how Emma was hitting her forehand today and think about the exchanges they would have. They never played and yet I can tell this is a terrible match-up for Coco.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 3, 2023 01:39:40She is never going to win anything important with that. Maybe she can reach another slam final if she get a weak draw again but there is always someone on fire in the end who will know how to explore this huge weakness. Girl definitely should build another forehand from zero while she is still young.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 3, 2023 01:32:29> Linda needs to work on her 2nd serve. That thing's Kasatkina-like at the moment and she was losing 65% of her 2nd serve points. Nah, I think she did fine. You had to watch her last season, how many DFs she was making. This time she avoided that (only 2 DFs in 3 sets), maybe she played too safe but keep in mind Emma is such a great returner, any player would have problems against her if they missed too many 1st serves. I'd rather see Linda putting herself in a neutral/defensive position to start 2nd serve points than give too many free points with DFs like last season.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 3, 2023 01:22:46She is almost in the top 100 and she still is gonna be a junior in 2026. That's wild.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 3, 2023 00:23:54Fruhvirtova won her title coming from behind lots of times, including in the final, so this is far from over. That girl has a great mentality. But if Emma keep playing like this it will be tough. It wouldn't be a bad loss for Linda Fruh tho, not against this version of Emma. Good match to start the season, they are both pushing each other quite hard in tough conditions.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 3, 2023 00:04:34Brenda deserved more games tbh. Leylah won all the close games and saved the break points. Good stuff considering all the pressure was on her.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 2, 2023 23:47:12Emma wins the 2nd set 6/4. Linda was 2-0 up and then lost concentration. I think it's a bit of lack of experience. Emma broke her for the 1st time and started playing much better. The end was tight but Emma got the job done. 3rd set should be fun.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 2, 2023 23:43:20I got your point but I think you're overestimating the extent of the problem. The most young, impressionable fans don't have money for this and NFTs/crypto is universally hated on SNS, where most Kpop fans are, so I'm sure anyone mature enough can decide for themselves whether to support this system or not, knowing the pros and cons. We talk about this system all the time (just like we're talking now), there is no way tripleS fans don't know anything about it. The acronym NFT is literally on every tripleS guide on the internet, even on Kprofiles. > I’m glad the girls are getting paid, but there are better ways to pay your employees… like just paying them. You know how it is not that simple.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/GirlsPlanet999 on January 2, 2023 23:05:49True but the conditions in Auckland are terrible. It's so windy.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 2, 2023 23:02:14Linda wins the 1st set after the rain delay. She saved 4 break points in the 4-4 game and then broke Emma right after. 6/4 Close set but that was the only game Linda had trouble to win on her serve while Emma was basically surviving with clutch serves/points during the whole set on the 15/30's, 30/30's, etc. Emma is 0/4 on BPs, Linda 1/5.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 2, 2023 22:57:36Fruhvirtova's serve seems to have improved. Lots of free points and no problems with DFs, which was very costly for her last season.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 2, 2023 21:47:35Modhaus found a way to consistently pay the idols from day 1, the girls earn a % of all these NFT photocard sales. Those things don't serve only for fans to choose subunits/songs, they are literally giving money to the girls with this. Some people may find it bad but I think it's way better than these groups that work for years without earning nothing. The tripleS girls are being paid from day 1, even before the debut.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/GirlsPlanet999 on January 2, 2023 21:34:37If you need help feel free to ask here or on /r/triples! This group have an official discord too with tons of people online. Their staff is really great and the girls are all so fun!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 2, 2023 19:08:36Wouldn't surprise me but I think it's a long shot. They could just be friends of the same age/school. As far as I know the last auditions for I-LAND 2 happened when Myah was still on Girls Planet in October 2021 (I-LAND 2 was supposed to air in 2022). If they didn't try to grab her from TOP Media randomly in 2022 then it's impossible for her to be there on belift. I guess we will find out in a few months. This show is going to start right after the end of Boys Planet.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 2, 2023 16:55:14Udvardy sisters are a possibility too. The younger one made final in Wimbledon juniors last season. Let's see if she will focus on the pro tour now and how she does. Panna is 24 already but she is reaching new high rankings in the top 100 and should play for another decade at least.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 2, 2023 15:58:28I would love to see the Andreeva sisters developing a rivalry with the Fruhvirtova sisters (all 4 players in the top 50 at least). That would be funny.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 2, 2023 15:28:12Looking forward to Emma Raducanu vs Linda Fruhvirtova tonight. Too bad 1 of them will start the season with a L but let's hope for a good match! The winner of this could gain enough confidence to go far in Auckland.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 2, 2023 15:25:14I'm so happy for her! This is such a nice opportunity. They actually have budget and 600k subscribers already. Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 2, 2023 11:15:24I just realized, Kotone will be an unnie for 2 of the most cute, pretty and funny maknaes in the industry. [Myah](https://youtu.be/ZkG_myqFgGI?t=46) and [Soomin](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIa2O61QSiI)! My worlds are colliding!!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 2, 2023 10:08:45Other GP 999 names that were heavily linked to tripleS at some point: Miu, Ayana, Tzuling and Myah (I think this was more wishful thinking than anything but she was on Kotone's cell and it feels that everybody on tripleS has a friend in the group that they knew personally before joining). I would be happy with any of these.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 2, 2023 07:39:58OMG it's really her! No clown masks needed this time! This is so exciting!! There is new world of possibilities for tripleS now. Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 2, 2023 07:26:21Very professional performance from Leyla. She was laser focused and played like a favorite to win this tournament. I hope she is fully recovered, this could be her big season. Brenda obviously needs time to improve some elements of her game but matches like this are very helpful to give her new information and experience. She will get there. She hit some good winners and even won points with her serve, which is a nice surprise. I saw a 17 year-old Swiatek getting destroyed by Giorgi on hard court, I won't criticize a 15 year-old who was playing against a slam finalist. Even in 2025 Brenda still will be young for the tour, imagine now. Everybody go through these matches, the difference is she is having these earlier. Now she is going to play the AO qualies.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on January 2, 2023 02:31:06She is going to reach a slam SF at minimum. Noskova is insane when she is playing well. She has so many weapons. I think she will end the year in the top 20.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on January 1, 2023 23:04:57Good opportunity tonight to see how Brenda Fruhvirtova (15) is developing after the preseason and a 2022 where she went from unranked to #132. She will play against Leylah Fernandez in Auckland. While she played the majority of last season on clay, she did qualify for her 1st WTA on hard court as a 14 year-old (WTA Guadalajara). She beat Errani in the qualies and then lost to Stephens 6/2 6/2 in R1 (Stephens won that tournament a few days later). Leylah is a tough player, I just want to see if Brenda can hang with her for some time in the scoreline or she is not at that level yet. Keep in mind that she practices with a top 100 player all the time, her sister Linda, so this level is not completely alien for her.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on December 31, 2022 20:15:10> The MiU I’m referring to is Limelight’s MiU (Ito Miyu), she’s the one who was main vocalist for Fiesta team 2. yeah, I know, I was talking about GP999 girls in general, not only the ones you mentioned! > From what I’ve seen Ayana might be in MZMC’s girl group. I saw that rumor and I doubt it's her. Someone saw a pic of 1 of those girls with a mask and thought it was Ayana but I didn't see the resemblance. Some people see, some don't. It's just a wild rumor for now.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 31, 2022 20:04:17Good chances they will both lose in R1. Those are tough R1 matches for a WTA 250. But these are the kind of matches that will make them stronger. They will definitely be a force in the tour this season, especially Linda.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 31, 2022 14:57:07It's fun seeing how everybody has a different favorite Kotone performance. For some people it was U+Me=Love, for others Pretty U. I personally loved her VVS performance and her Boombayah was not bad either, considering all the focus/edits was on Shana and Hikaru. This is proof she has many charms and can appeal to a good variety of people. I loved seeing her passion too, when she criticized Mnet. Girl is ambitious.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 29, 2022 23:28:36> No, it was created as a sub-label initially but was converted into an associate company in 2020. This means YG owns a significant portion of the company (around 30% I believe), but it's not really part of YGe since they don't own 50%. Accounting is done separately and isn't consolidated under YG's books at all. Just a shady move to try to hide who is behind everything (you can bet it's YG himself, not Teddy or any other person). Shady owners create sublabels for a reason.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/tennis on December 28, 2022 21:05:02They didn't have time to debut in 2022 due to the World Cup taking attention away from Kpop and the award shows season cancelling many music show broadcasts. The Itaewon tragedy also took 1 week away from their planning. I think the company decided to debut them after the 10-member unit to present them together with the AAA girls first. This way the people who loved the AAA subunit will tune in (cause that unit will be in the 10-member group), learn about the other girls and then watch the debut of the other subunits.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 22, 2022 20:20:26I think OP is implying that Polaris decided to create an idol group in a new company only to hide/reduce the association and bad image they got from the Ladies' Code incident. I never thought about that (cause for me BBC was created to do shady businesses) but it's definitely possible.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 22, 2022 01:58:24It seems that I write the same thing after every new BBC statement but it can't be helped. Those people lost touch with reality, completely.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 22, 2022 01:48:15Exactly, this is inexcusable. As an orbit there is no turning back after learning this. I would rather save money for 2 years, to support the girls later, than give another cent to BBC.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 22, 2022 01:32:31They are still trying to ruin Chuu's image, this will never work with orbits (and this is a message exclusively to orbits). It seems they live in an alternate universe. Those BBC directors are utterly stupid.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 22, 2022 01:25:44This company doesn't deserves to exist anymore. They tied Loona (the nicest girls in the world) to slave contracts, I hope they go to hell.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 22, 2022 01:19:38yep, don't forget the debt trap and everything else that happened in the last years, what they did to Chuu, the girls working injured/sick, etc... Hyunjin's latest post on fab is another proof that the girls don't want nothing to do with BBC anymore. Don't fall for this crap: > We will be sure to create an environment where all fans can happily support LOONA. > We once again deeply apologize, and ask for your support of LOONA’s still-ongoing dreams and future. Loona's future is outside of BBC.

People can make memes about their concept but this group will obviously be a big thing in Kpop. The music is amazing and the directors know what they're doing.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 20, 2022 02:08:55I usually roll my eyes at these lists but this one is as good as it gets. A good summary of Kpop in 2022.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 19, 2022 22:53:25I wonder why BBC is revealing these numbers now. Do they expect people to think "omg these girls have so much debt, we need to buy their new albums to support them"? If that's the case they lost touch with reality completely.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 19, 2022 02:09:39Reason #47488 to boycott: The girls get more and more debt with each comeback. You can read about this on the Chuu/BBC thread. They really need to leave BBC asap.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 19, 2022 02:03:20yeah, they thought she was abusing her power because they couldn't treat her like a subhuman anymore. lmao BBC: "Do this you little shit" Chuu: "Nope, don't talk to me like that" ---- BBC *shocked pikachu face*: omg, she has so much influence, we can't treat her like shit anymore, she is abusing her power!!1
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 18, 2022 23:38:49yeah, it was 1 of the claims they made when they kicked Chuu out of the group. Absolutely ridiculous. This is kinda important tho: > Chuu also said she lost faith in the company last year and she did not want to participate in 'Queendom' but she signed the new sub-contract because she wanted to continue the group activity. She also provided a voice recording of one of the company's representatives, saying he looked down on her as if she was a child so she thought she had to be assertive, which in some cases could have come off as being rude.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 18, 2022 23:06:51Is BBC still trying to save face? This is ridiculous. The members sided with Chuu and are trying to leave BBC for a reason and we all know how much Chuu was overworked in 2021.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 18, 2022 20:30:40yeah, it's around 75 games. There was an extreme case last year when Palmeiras played 91 matches because they played all possible matches in every tournament. Managers talk/complain about that all the time and this is 1 reason why the big clubs are choosing to ignore the regional tournaments nowadays. These local leagues are very traditional and part of our history but there are so many matches, potential injuries, etc... They are important for the small clubs and regional federations tho. This gives visibility to many players and these clubs/federations make money with TV rights + these regional federations are politically strong, they always choose friends to be leading the CBF, so I don't think CBF will get rid of these leagues anytime soon, despite the complaints of the big clubs.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 18, 2022 20:23:45They have a month off. Typically between December 15th and January 15th. The big clubs usually play alternative teams early in January to give their better players time to get stronger physically. Some big clubs are deciding to "skip" the regional leagues nowadays. I mean... they play with alternative teams there but it's only a few of them. The international tournaments (Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana) and Copa do Brasil start in February, so they have priority.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 14, 2022 23:43:05I think you misunderstood me, you're right but you just need to see any demographic chart to see how NewJeans and groups like that have way more female fans than male fans. When you see groups like Twice it's the opposite. The industry is making groups especially for women. If they can get some male fans with controversial concepts (or by debuting pretty underage girls like you said), even better for them but the target demographic is still women in the end. I would like that to change or to see a balance (50% of girl groups trying to appeal to women and 50% trying to appeal to men).
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 14, 2022 23:07:06I'm not blaming anyone. We're just in an unfortunate timeline right now. Hopefully it will change again soon when the industry realize the flaws of the current trends..
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 14, 2022 22:51:53It is what it is. People don't want to see 30 year-olds debuting anymore. I would love to have spicy 2nd gen concepts back but they decided to make girl groups for female fans only (in part because of mistreatment). Now that's what you get: Kpop for children.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 14, 2022 22:39:33The 3 debuted as 18+, Hyungseo as a 20 year-old. They are all older than IVE's oldest member for example (and the group on average). There is a crazy misconception about CLASS:y, they are no different than the top rookie groups right now. They are way older than NewJeans on average.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 14, 2022 22:24:04> The fact that only one girl that wasn’t a minor wound up debuting seems to reflect how that went. They have 3 adults, Chaewon, Hyeju and Hyungseo.

No idea but other fans that found this story may know her name. > several trainees also left BBC during the final phase of the group, which made the company rush the project and outsource the recruit of the final 4 girls. True but BBC was working on a tight schedule. Loona's name in Korea is "Girl of the month" because they were supposed to debut a new girl every month and then debut the full group. Modhaus don't need to rush anything. They are taking their time.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 14, 2022 19:50:10> its probably more genuine, because they left out all the realityTV drama. Im actually surprised they dont spin storylines. They kept it simple. > They just show the auditions and that's it and the judges judge them on it. Basically "My Teenage Girl". I think people hated that show because they wanted drama and conflicts, while they simply gave us performances every episode and just a little of behind the scenes stuff (mostly the teachers with the girls, not the girls alone arguing about something).
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 14, 2022 19:38:53People read a lot of bad takes about MTG and decided to not watch it but that show had a lot of talent. Inhye, Yumin, Sarang, etc... I'm glad Jaden Jeong watched it. I pray everyday for Minami in tripleS! I mean... there is no way he saw Minami and did not think "this girl is a top idol material". If he managed to contact and convince her parents and her to join Modhaus is another question but we will see.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 14, 2022 18:53:13I'm glad they are tbh. Clash of personalities and other problems are a real thing in big groups. They need to be ultra careful with their selections. The first girls need to be open and friendly to new members, while the girls that come later need to accept that some girls already debuted and those girls will have more experience with eveything tripleS is doing. Modhaus need to find this balance.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 14, 2022 17:35:39I'd love to see her too but I know there are some fans that don't want any girl that had a controversy in the past, even if Garam basically proved she was innocent.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 14, 2022 13:55:14> The (relative) success of Generation will only make tripleS a more attractive opportunity for trainees than it was before, so perhaps sone known ones might join. True, it seems that someone else was supposed to be S4 before Chaeyeon but she quit and Chaeyeon became S4. I wonder if she regret it now. Ex MTG Dasom was a trainee "small s" at Modhaus and thought she would debut here but they dismissed her a few months ago. It seems that there is a lot going on behind the scenes. While they are searching new trainees they had S10 Dahyun since February and only revealed her now. I'm sure they have other girls there waiting as well. I think the company is analyzing many scenarios, they can't add someone just because they are good or pretty, they need to take into consideration the chemistry (or lack of) that these girls will have with the other members, knowing that they're recording things everyday and the girls who were revealed first may feel entitled if they don't like the new girls. It must be tough.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 13, 2022 21:27:24I agree +/- you definitely have great players everywhere but > superior individual players overall, which ultimately is the most important thing in a World Cup this doesn't mean much (Croatia-Brazil, Morocco-Portugal). At this stage all the players are used to the level of the competition. Tactics will decide everything. Scaloni demolished Dalic today, for example, with his superior tactics before and during the match.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 13, 2022 21:17:00France should be terrified of this Argentina. They barely beat the awful Sampaoli-led Argentina last time in Russia 4-3. Feels like France got a bit weaker, while Argentina got much stronger.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 13, 2022 21:13:44This stat blew my mind: The last time that we saw 2 teams making a world cup final for the 1st time (at the same time): 1934
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 13, 2022 21:11:45I wonder if you bet in France or what. Cause your reasoning doesn't make any sense. It's similar to all those people who were saying "Brazil will beat Croatia because they are much better and Croatia is struggling". Turns out Croatia's midfield caused tons of problems for Brazil. Morocco's defense will definitely cause tons of problems for France. They already failed to break a similar defense in the group stage (Tunisia). Not even their big guns broke that wall when they came from the bench and they lost the match. This is a bad match-up for France and you will see tomorrow.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 13, 2022 21:07:55Morocco will give them the ball, they won't know what to do. Amrabat already stopped Modric, De Bruyne, Gavi, Pedri, João Félix, Brunoi Fernandes... he will eat Griezmann alive in this form. Mbappé is not a dribbler and he won't have space behind the lines to create anything, he was useless against England and this might be an even worse game for him.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 13, 2022 20:53:27I disagree. Richarlison wasn't the problem. Brazil needs a better midfield.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 13, 2022 20:46:51Morocco will be fine. Mazraoui will return and they didn't play extra time in QF. Croatia did.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 13, 2022 20:38:35yeah, they are not satisfied. Their coach has the greatest speeches, those guys will go to war for him. And it's against France, so this is bigger than Football for Morocco.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 13, 2022 20:36:27Mazraoui will play, he wasn't injured, he was sick in QF. He will be even more fit for this game than all the other players. Morocco didn't play extra time against Portugal, they will be fine. Saiss and Aguerd said they would do anything to be fit for this game, so they might play as well. France is also having trouble to field some players. 3 or 4 starters missed the team practice lately.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 13, 2022 20:28:30That doesn't matter at this stage, tactics matter. France will have a harder time trying to break Morocco's defense with the way they play than those other teams, which were more suited for the task.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 13, 2022 20:21:42I don't get why so many people think France will be harder for Morocco than Spain or Portugal. This seems like a nightmare match-up for France. Mbappe will never have space to run (and will play against Hakimi who knows him better than most players), Amrabat will be Griezmann's bodyguard, Giroud will barely touch the ball, etc. I wonder if France will purposely give the ball to Morocco and just play defense. Could be the best strategy for this match.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 13, 2022 20:13:50I love that for you. Tite simply played the same team that beat Korea and everyone watched what happened. Croatia's midfield frustrated that Brazil formation. Scaloni's style is the best for international football.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 13, 2022 19:59:10Croatia's never say die mentality will be truly tested now. Argentina already let a 2-0 go to waste against Netherlands (and almost vs Australia).

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 11, 2022 20:31:22I was also against the idea but Ferreira is almost brazilian by now. He has been in our everyday lives for years and speak the same language. It would be very different if we tried to go for Zidane, Guardiola or someone like that. lol And honestly I lost hope after Tite. He was our best manager by far. This is the worst era of all time for brazilian managers. The brazilian league is full of international managers now because of that. Not even brazilian clubs trust BR managers anymore.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 11, 2022 20:01:02It seems that Abel Ferreira and Fernando Diniz are the names CBF is considering to be Brazil's next manager. We never had a non brazilian manager. Ferreira is a young portuguese manager and won everything with Palmeiras (2x Copa Libertadores and brazilian league a few weeks ago). Diniz is basically the brazilian Guardiola. His teams play well with lots of possession, score lots of goals, he uses unconventional formations, etc.. but he never won a title. That guy is as unlucky as Guardiola in the UCL. I wanted Renato Portaluppi/Gaúcho for the memes but he is not a priority it seems. lol

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 10, 2022 22:36:14Honestly I don't think that made a big difference. The low time left to score another goal is what made the 2nd pen become a do or die situation.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 10, 2022 22:29:07England got eliminated by 1 mistake, kinda like Brazil. They let Griezmann cross a perfect ball. Giroud is great but he can't do anything without other guys serving him. All that focus on Mbappe made England forget how dangerous Griezmann is if he has any kind of space. I doubt Morocco will do the same mistake. Amrabat will be Griezmann's bodyguard during the whole match.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 10, 2022 21:08:00It wasn't a blatant foul. When the 1st goal happened they simply didn't have enough time to realize that the ref of that match don't call every contact + VAR could've cancelled that goal if they thought there was a foul in the origin.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 10, 2022 20:06:30Everybody is blaming the ref after they lost, except us. These guys need to grow up. Everybody who lost in QF deserved it.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 10, 2022 19:01:38I think the problem with Kane's penalty was that he knew they didn't have much time after that. Even if that was his 1st penalty he could've missed in that situation. It was almost a "score this or go home" situation. Very different than his 1st PK were they had the whole 2nd half to try to score. If he had to take 2 pens in the 1st half he probably would've scored.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 10, 2022 18:55:10Exactly. I think most keepers would feel they had it as well. Can't blame Diogo for that.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 10, 2022 10:42:46Morocco is not a lesser team here. They can realistically reach the semifinal of the World Cup.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 10, 2022 10:36:29Portugal's high press is useless against this team. They are just tiring themselves.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 10, 2022 10:20:59Look the way Morocco escaped that high press. So underrated. These guys are no joke.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 21:33:16Should be a good one. The previous 2 world cup runner-ups trying to reach the final again.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 21:28:03Didn't he enter a stadium wearing LGBT stuff earlier in the tournament?
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 21:22:18Wasn't him "provoking" them with LGBT stuff inside stadiums earlier in the tournament? I hope this is not true.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 21:17:48I know people don't take Morocco's chances seriously because they are an african side and african teams never reached the semis but this Morocco team is no joke. They only allowed 1 (own) goal so far and they have the future golden ball winner Amrabat in the midfield. I will be rooting for them!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 21:14:27Like I said a few days ago, big wins in round of 16 means nothing. Brazil and Netherlands are out, Argentina and Croatia are in the semis. Teams that survived battles in Ro16 seem to do well later in World Cups. Italy in 2006 (vs Australia), Spain in 2010 (vs Portugal), Germany in 2014 (vs Algeria), France in 2018 (vs Argentina). I think they get mentally stronger after wins like that, while teams that have it easy get complacent. France, England and Portugal should be worried.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 21:00:59Always great to see the big boys playing against each other. International derbies are awesome. England vs France should be very entertaining as well.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 20:51:52Tough to accept tbh after allowing only 1 (deflected) shot on target in 130 minutes but this is the World Cup. Amateur mistakes like that are punished (as they should). It's the ultimate competition for a reason.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 20:50:06I think we need to join forces with Japan. We have the same enemies. 2 World Cups in a row losing to the same people. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 20:46:22Not sure why this is surprising. Other than 2014 (in Brazil) this is tradition now. 2006, 2010, 2018, 2022.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 20:44:19Nothing wrong imo. That ref should be in the final if England lose to France.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 20:39:23True, this is the right idea. Even Croatia's manager was saying that after the game, his midfield was controlling the tempo of the game and frustrating Brazil. They pass the ball well and are fast tho, if you guys press too much that could be problematic. You saw how fast their guys were on minute 117.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 20:31:48Argentina better not underestimate Croatia. Modric already thrashed them 4 years ago in Russia.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 20:25:29They never do. It's us that keep avoiding the biggest Brazil-Argentina match of all time. The same happened in 2014. Tbh we lost the last derby in WC. Argentina eliminated us in the round of 16 in 1990.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 17:19:21It's fate. This final will happen, nothing can stop it. Both will take penalties there. 1 of them will miss and lose the title.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 17:10:59The alternative is going forward and allowing a counter attack equalizer like Brazil-Croatia.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 17:08:33Messi vs Ronaldo in the final is happening. They will both take pens and 1 of them will miss.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 14:38:34Not really. He was always a spoiled brat.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 14:36:52Neymar never winning a World Cup is a massive win for football. Hope he retires and quickly get forgotten. We need to have humble players and better human beings again. Endrick could lead the transition. Fantastic kid.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 14:07:47As you've seen 1 hour ago this doesn't mean shit in modern football. Tactics and some luck is the most important thing.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 13:50:19The players you mean. Tite sent Fred and Sandro immediately after scoring to reinforce the defensive system. No reason for the players to allow a counter attack goal.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 13:48:01True. Some teams are yet to play. I have more respect for the shittalkers with England, Argentina, Portugal... flairs.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 13:46:29Good thing Brazil already won 2 world cups in North America. We love to play there.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 13:44:26What do you want him to do? His team created tons of chances against Belgium and Croatia but finished poorly or the keepers saved everything.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 13:43:16> think he’ll be back for 2026 Let's hope not. He is such a bad influence for the youngsters + he carries the ball too much when he doesn't need it.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 13:40:05He was always leaving, no matter the result. 8 years in charge. Time to bring someone new. I hope Tite goes to Europe to prove himself. He was very unlucky in these WCs but he is a great coach.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 13:32:06that diva? Never. I will root for Argentina if they pick that guy.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 13:29:38Tite is a good coach. He was knocked out by 2 goalkeepers going God mode in 2018 and 2022, tough luck. I hope CBF pick Renato now for the memes.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 13:25:35He missed a lot of chances to score 1 tbh. Hope he never plays for Brazil again. Time for better role models for the kids.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 13:22:37They're arguing that Europe dominates Brazil by using this stat, which is far from true. Some of these games were absolute miracles.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 13:17:17If you think luck isn't part of the game I don't know what to tell you...
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 13:16:11tbh Tite immediately sent Fred to the pitch after scoring. The players need to be blamed for that.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 13:14:57and they outplayed everyone, except France in 2006 and Germany in 2014. This is a useless stat. Croatian keeper is a hero.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 13:12:01True, let's root for another historic moment!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 13:09:28I will have to root for Argentina now to reach the finals at least. Another european dominance in the SF will be a sad day for the sport.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 13:05:45True, that's why we need to get rid of extra time. Just go straight to penalties. It's impossible to play so many games like this in a row in 2 weeks. That final in 2018 was boring as fuck cause physically it was a mismatch.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 13:01:56I'm here for the memes. Not even sad about losing, what is sad is losing to a team that had 1 deflected shot on target in 130 minutes. Belgium at least was a good team to watch in 2018 and Netherlands in 2010. Well, that's football unfortunately.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 12:58:21He is a good player, people give him shit for some antics but he will be great for United.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 12:27:26Casemiro scolding Neymar was fun to see. Don't mess with Case.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 12:24:53This is what the "Brazil bad" people deserve. Alisson is watching this match from his VIP seat since minute 1. This game should've ended a long time ago if it weren't for Livakovic. Brazil is still solid as fuck, people liking it or not.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 12:19:42True, I'm just saying Brazil is still solid as fuck, Croatia is playing decent and having the gK on a good day.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 11:59:50"Brazil bad" dude you can't beat Brazil if you don't score a goal. Alisson is a spectator again in this World Cup. Croatia has zero shots on target. Livakovic is saving Croatia's ass, Brazil created some good chances.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 11:56:30Martinelli over Neymar Tite pls. Rodrygo can move to Neymar's spot.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 11:53:09Watch non brazilians think Brazil is done after bringing in Pedro, the MVP of Copa Libertadores. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 11:43:20This ref is doing a good job. I hope he gets the final (if England lose before that).
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 11:33:14Alisson is still a spectator while Livakovic is Motm. Brazil just needs to finish better.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 11:31:53He created a few good chances tbh.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 11:23:38Imagine taking Vini off instead of Neymar.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 11:22:28That Alisson kit is glorious
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 11:20:57Antony is not necessarily a bad move, he is electric. But I think we need Rodrygo over Neymar.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 11:18:23Where does Livakovic play? He is surely going to a big club after this WC.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 11:13:42Tite needs to take away Neymar. He is useless with that injury. Grow some balls like Portugal's manager!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 11:12:28I blame Lukaku for this. Belgium is trying to fuck up Brazil again. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 11:09:39Not surprising to see Brazil's midfield struggling against a side like this. Paqueta is a good player but nothing amazing. Neymar is coming back from injury. I've always said that Brazil's defence is what could win this World Cup, not the attack. So far so good, Alisson is mostly a spectator.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 11:01:39They were dead tired in that final after 3 extra time games in a row. Physically it was a mismatch.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 10:57:46I won't be surprised if Tite come back with Fred over Paqueta. Croatia's midfield is too comfortable in this match. I also think this is a good match for Bruno G but he didn't play well against Cameroon, so I don't think Tite will play him. Rodrygo will surely come in as well.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 10:50:25Neymar is not 100%, we can tell. But it's good to have him on the pitch cause he takes attention away from Vini.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 10:42:36I don't think Brazil is playing bad, Croatia's midfield is super strong + Brazil don't want to press too much knowing Croatia can explore the wings with long balls and they are fast. Danilo has a yellow now. It's a chess match.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 10:38:12English refs will let players get away with more than other refs imo. Croatia is not hacking Neymar (not needed so far) but I think they could do it with this ref.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 10:32:38If that was a red I would not even complain. Dumb stuff from Danilo.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 10:26:28Brazil is respecting Croatia a lot, which is not exactly wrong, Croatia is dangerous. We will see more of this in these quarterfinals. Everything is like a big champions league final from now on. Too much at stake.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 9, 2022 10:23:59I assume she is moving to the Haus monday but we will see. I need to see her with the other girls asap!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 9, 2022 07:25:11I think they will create an event on the app "bring x subunit back" and let fans vote to pick 1 subunit to give them a comeback.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 21:21:34Like what? No JYP idol contract was ever terminated this suddenly, even during major scandals. She was practicing this week and said she was looking forward to the next comeback. And [this happened before](https://comicbook.com/anime/news/laboum-yulhee-pregnant-rumor-ftisland-minhwan-kpop/) https://www.allkpop.com/article/2019/04/former-laboum-member-yulhee-talks-about-hiding-her-pregnancy-during-promotion)
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 20:53:06I think JYP found out she is pregnant. I can't think of other reasons why they terminated her contract so suddenly, when she was practicing this week. There was no hiatus or anything like that. It's obviously something major that changed everything in 24h.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 20:46:38No, I changed my mind. I think she broke a rule. I said in other post on this thread but I think she is pregnant. This contract termination is incredibly sudden, she was even practicing this week, so obviously something major happened which changed everything.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 20:30:30It's definitely something major. I'm starting to think she is pregnant.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 20:23:51yeah you're right. I'm full on speculation mode after seeing new info like this. Maybe she found out this week she is pregnant [like Laboum's Yulhee](https://comicbook.com/anime/news/laboum-yulhee-pregnant-rumor-ftisland-minhwan-kpop/) years ago (she also had to leave the group when this was revealed)? This is so sudden that we need to think outside the box. https://www.allkpop.com/article/2019/04/former-laboum-member-yulhee-talks-about-hiding-her-pregnancy-during-promotion

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 20:03:23I'm not saying they are fake, I'm saying they won't tell the fans bad news or give them worrying signs during their rookie year. NMIXX debuted in February.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 19:39:55No rookie idol will tell you they're hating their lives. These robotic messages don't mean much.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 19:27:47I can totally see her being unhappy with the concept. Especially after watching KARA killing it live last week, a group that has her image.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 19:18:30Hyerin. She is only 15! The maknae of AAA (Soomin is the maknae of tripleS but they have the same age).
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 19:08:38Right, I still can't believe this. They just released FGC and went on MAMA with her. It looked like they all were having the time of their lives. Everything was ok last week.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 19:02:12I almost fell from my chair when I read the notification. 1 of the most shocking Kpop headlines of 2022 for sure.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 18:57:46Only speculation obviously but I wonder if she was unhappy by having so little spotlight after that. They decided to give Kyujin, the maknae, most of the center time and just kept Jinni as a visual member in the background. She also had only a few lines in their songs.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 18:41:20I think it's early to tell who will be the main dancers tbh. [Kaede is pretty good](https://youtu.be/MDBdE1r8rxk?t=83) as well! That monday signal was such a revelation. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 16:24:38Their voting is completely transparent. Anybody can see the transactions online (como x vote) and the amount of COMO being used to vote.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 12:01:44We still need to see Soomin on the stage, her facial expressions and everything but Jiwoo will be fine doing song B. [She is such a slayer](https://youtu.be/Z47kDee86p0?t=185).
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 10:27:57> song B seem to only fit AAA members I think this is a misconception. Song B is literally Seoyeon's pick. People also thought Yubin was "too cute for that" before seeing her with AAA. These girls become a different beast when they are on stage, they are pros. Also look the latest Y magazine pictorial. All the girls, including Soomin, are looking great on that strong concept.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 10:13:42KRE was wearing red/green outfits in the end of the Generation MV, so people think they will debut around Christmas. I think OT10 will debut in mid/late February.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 09:40:28We already heard the snippets of KRE's title track. They did that to let us choose the members for the subunits. AAA's outro song in their album is also a teaser for KRE's title track. We don't know the b-sides tho.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 09:23:30That fan got what he wanted simply because it was a close vote in the end, allowing him to make that move. This situation won't happen all the time and even when it does, it could benefit you if you're voting for the same result.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 05:20:13Well, at least this will keep all those new fans (and casuals) who loved AAA, so this is a good thing. KRE still is going to debut (possibly earlier) with a different sound and vibe, so the fans that wanted something different will have that as well.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 05:05:04True but I think they will do what they did back in September, where there was no losers, all the girls ended up in a subunit and Modhaus pre-selected the "duels" to create balanced units.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 04:43:56They're definitely releasing song F (and possibly all the others) as well. It's a song that many fans loved.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 04:41:13Lol I'm surprised nobody from the F-team did the same. This is such an obvious move. People should've been anticipating it. 4d chess by that fan.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 04:21:06Maybe Modhaus will give us a double title track after seeing that. I know the songs are pretty different and can hardly fit the same theme but tripleS won't be known for a particular style anyway. They are "the idol of all possibilities".
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 8, 2022 04:15:36> “O.O” by NMIXX Saved you a click.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 7, 2022 23:35:59I'm not too upset with this tbh. At least the girls get freedom to start anew, instead of getting tied to a contract and never promoting again or having bad promotions.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 7, 2022 23:07:42but STAYC got big with the 1st comeback (+/- 6 months after debut). bugAboo didn't. Koreans ignored this group completely (it was a terrible timing to debut a smaller group to be fair, the monster rookies and other groups like Billlie and CLASS:y got all the spotlight).
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 7, 2022 23:00:22Hot Issue vibes... I will be waiting for some of these girls on tripleS. Hope they get a 2nd chance.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 7, 2022 22:54:06They are so good, I hope they get more fans with this comeback!
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 7, 2022 11:33:59True, this might be a YG problem, not a 3rd gen problem. I guess we will find out when they debut the new gg.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 7, 2022 09:41:56behind the scenes maybe, but we're never getting collabs like these or tiktok dances, etc... like these 4th gen idols do.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 7, 2022 09:26:08I love how everybody is friendly in this new gen. I don't think I've ever seen Blackpink and Twice members interacting with each other. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 7, 2022 09:10:11> Being a hit with the general public will be more lucrative for the group in the long run You don't understand tripleS' business model. This whole thing since its inception was built on the premise that they would build a fandom and give what the fans want, they don't care about the general public and they will not try to appeal to the general public. It's a 24-member rotational group, this is completely alien for the GP, stop thinking about "what song the GP would like to listen".
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/triples on December 6, 2022 23:23:00Canada's performance was a bit below Ecuador in my opinion and they were 4th place in CONMEBOL qualifiers, so you can definitely put a good fight. The World Cup experience that your team have is something that other teams like Chile, Paraguay, etc, which will bring younger players, don't have.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 6, 2022 21:46:14Good if he win the WC or the UCL (it's his trophy if he win both). He is gonna have to beat Haaland who is having an insane season.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 6, 2022 19:57:34Amrabat should be in contention for the golden ball. What he did in that Spain match alone deserves a documentary. lol Not to mention he also stopped Modric and KDB in the group stage. I know these things are never given to a CDM but this would be a good opportunity to change that if Morocco reach the SF, after another insane performance and other big names (Mbappé, Messi, etc) have a poor QF and SF. They always pick the golden ball winner before the final anyway. What big team is going after this guy? Fiorentina is going to make a lot of money.

Endrick is a better person as well, he will be a great role model for many kids. And he doesn't have problematic parents, his father is the most humble person you can think of.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 6, 2022 13:45:00Morocco only allowed 1 goal so far (and it was an own goal). Best defense of the tournament. Let's see how they will recover from this but they can totally reach the SF, especially if the other game end up being a long battle too.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 6, 2022 13:33:01The results don't lie. Canada played against the strongest group. Germany against the easiest.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 6, 2022 13:24:34Exactly. And keep in mind that what won them that cup was a Puyol header against Germany and Casillas saving their ass during the tournament.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 6, 2022 13:14:16This result doesn't matter for Spain. They had more possession, it's a win their book. /s Let's see if they will drop this stupid football style now or will keep losing world cup in group stages and round of 16. You can't play that way without the 2010 players, everybody knows, except them it seems. Forget this nostalgia shit and move on.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 5, 2022 21:28:01If we win this cup we really need to thank South Korea for being a classy team. Uruguay would have broken at least 3 of our players and making others get yellows/suspended. lol

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 5, 2022 18:23:41He was the only player of the 26 that didn't get World Cup minutes before this game and Weverton is a good player himself. For many in Brazil he should be 2nd choice over Ederson. The guy won tons of titles with Palmeiras in the last years and is rock solid.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 5, 2022 16:50:37The big teams are dominating the Ro16 but at least we're having cool goals, not 0-0 snoozefests until someone find an own goal or shit like that. It's been a good cup despite these Ro16 games and the crazy games are coming.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 5, 2022 16:42:40It's our culture. When South Africa danced in 2010 after scoring goals everybody loved. lol Brazil was pretty respectful in the 2nd half. Didn't try to embarrass the koreans nor anything like that. These 2 teams met a few months ago for a friendly in Seoul. The players of the 2 teams were having a great time together in the locker room after the game. Brazil got there a few days early and then enjoyed lots of places in Seoul, they were well recived by the korean people. No reason to disrespect their players or nation, they managed it well in the end imo.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 5, 2022 16:37:34Weird seeing so many people complaining about the penalty. Yes, it was soft but even the korean defender knew he hit Richarlison in the air and it was a pen. Even their defender and other koreans didn't complain but redditors do. lol Neymar is obviously not 100% yet but when he plays he take away attention from Vini Jr, who is making good use of that space.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 5, 2022 16:31:06Cause the 3rd keeper didn't get minutes in the world cup before this. Now all the 26 players got minutes.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 5, 2022 09:54:31OMG yessss they killed this! They are all so charismatic! Hyerin is so good already at 15, this is overlooked sometimes. She will be an amazing idol! Yubin looks so cute and innocent until she goes on stage to perform, then she becomes a dangerous girl!! Naky got those Bibi genes, she is such a natural performer in every sense. Easy to see why she has so many fans already! Yooyeon's improvement since MTG is really astonishing to witness. Girl is going to become a great dancer/performer on sheer willpower. Totally reminds me of Sakura in that sense. People who follow Sakura since Produce 48 or before will understand! Amazing visuals as usual. Loved this!

Spain beat Paraguay, Germany and Netherlands to win in 2010. Italy beat Ukraine, Germany and France to win in 2006. Brazil beat England, Turkey and Germany to win in 2002. yeah your road is harder than the average if no upset happen but Germany beat exactly the same opponents in 2014, so it's possible.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 4, 2022 22:12:16Just a reminder that you don't need to destroy opponents in Round of 16 to win the title. Some minor teams could give a lot of trouble to future champions like Germany-Algeria in 2014, Spain-Paraguay in 2010 (although this was a QF) or Italy-Australia in 2006. The only thing that matters on this stage is surviving and give your team a chance to peak in the SF and F.

She got very emotional when they told her she is S10. She has been practicing since February. I think they made her record this song when she was a trainee but didn't tell her why.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 3, 2022 11:33:36Australia looks solid, who knows. They scored goals from open play in every match.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 3, 2022 11:29:27Best scenario for the dutch: Score a 3rd, sub off their key players and pass the ball around until the end of the match. They need to be well rested, without injuries/suspensions for the QF against possibly Argentina.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 3, 2022 11:27:12yeah, glad the ref didn't buy that.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 3, 2022 11:21:32Brazilian ref is doing pretty well (his 3rd game in the cup). At this rate he must be a contender to ref the final if Brazil lose before that.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 3, 2022 11:20:41The US is being outclassed today. But I think they can build something cool for 2026. They need to get rid of this coach tho. Van Gaal is eating him alive today.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 3, 2022 11:08:38The USA could not even make this entertaining for neutrals. What a disappointment. Looks like this Ro16 will be a snoozefest, after the great group stage.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 3, 2022 10:50:45RIP in pieces
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 3, 2022 10:47:30That early goal is the worst thing that could've happened to USA. Now they have to score 2 (or win on penalties) against this strong defensive dutch side. And can't allow another goal or it's basically over. Not to mention that they wasted a ton of energy early won and got nothing for it. According to the other matches they've played they will be running on fumes later in the match, especially in extra time if they get there.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 3, 2022 10:43:44The pitch looks horrible. Is this the last game on this stadium?
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 3, 2022 10:37:15Everybody waiting for a Brazil-Argentina SF but Van Gaal will shithouse his way to another World Cup semifinal. Chad Van Gaal > Virgin Scaloni

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 3, 2022 09:51:27Round of 16 predictions: Netherlands 2-1 USA (US scores first but they can't run in the end and the dutch score the winner in extra time) Argentina 3-1 Australia (The aussies score in the end but it doesn't matter) France 2-0 Poland (as boring as it looks) England 2-2 Senegal (1-1 in the 90 and 1-1 in extra time with England trailing both times but Senegal win on penalties 4-3 with Mendy stopping Kane) Japan 3-2 Croatia (reverse Belgium for Japan, they will start losing 0-2, score a 2nd goal in the end and win it in extra time, also ending Croatia's positive streak on extra times from 2018, their best players are old) Brazil 3-1 South Korea (Son will score his first goal on this edition of the WC and give Brazil an early scare but they won't be able to defend the lead) Morocco 2-1 Spain (Morocco, the true host nation of this WC, will be energized with another home game, defend well and take their chances. Spain will score a 2nd half goal and pressure until the end but it won't be enough) Portugal 2-1 Switzerland (The swiss will score early, be annoying and defend well but Portugal will find a late goal and win it in extra time)
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 21:27:42I'm pretty sure they would have 9 points if they used the formation and positive football that they displayed against Ghana. That team is too good and their coach wasted this group of players.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 19:08:37Antony and Raphinha had average games so far but they can still do good things if teams focus to hard on Vini and Brazil's left wing.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 19:00:02We thought that maybe Tite was saving him for the A-team after watching what he did against Switzerland but after today it's unlikely.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 18:56:56Danilo is expected to play Monday but they are watching him closely day-to-day to see if it's enough time. They also said Neymar and Sandro might play (probably to make Korea waste time preparing for this) but they probably need more time.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 18:53:04yeah, Tite mishandled this, he was the only sub that didn't start this game, so he was obviously very anxious, which caused all the bad decisions during the game. Man tried too hard to prove his value and forgot everything else that was happening around him.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 18:42:05Brazil is losing FBs *left and right*... lol All the 3 (Danilo, Alex Sandro and Alex Telles) were mid in the 1st place, and now the 3 are injured. And the other is the geriatric Dani Alves. I guess we're gonna have to use Fabinho or the CBs (Miltão, Marquinhos) to cover this. At least the FBs are all defensive in Tite's system, so they aren't a big loss. We use offensive players to make the wingback job.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 18:39:27Can't believe the round of 16 begins tomorrow already. Let's hope for more crazy drama, extra time and penalties. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 17:39:05Alonso really ruined your WC. This team should've started the other games.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 16:48:27Brazil's defense will win the WC even if we have to play with 4 CBs due to all the FBs collapsing. And the attack is still pretty good tho. This game was meaningless but we scored 3 and missed other chances against teams that parked the bus hard.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 16:41:50Cameroon's reserve keeper (they sent the starter home due to indiscipline) was amazing today. Denied Martinelli a few goals and got them the 3 points. These 2 were the MVPs of that match btw.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 16:29:38You can't make this shit up. Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 14:28:11Martinelli is great. I hope Tite uses him as much as possible in the KO stages. Might be a lethal weapon in extra time.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 14:26:45He still can be decent with the ball but he can't defend anymore at his age. Any fast winger would eat him alive.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 14:15:28to let the other guys rest. It's a meaningless game for Brazil.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 14:13:26I think Tite would rather play Marquinhos or Fabinho there tbh. Or 1 of the Alex (but Sandro is injured too).

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 14:00:11The lyrics are amazing but yeah, it doesn't have the greatest melody (except the last part).
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 13:57:49Sad about the bracket tbh. If we win people will say we didn't have to beat good teams until the semifinal, it was too easy, etc.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 13:50:16I'd rather watch Pedro tbh. Jesus has been awful for Brazil since 2018. Very different from the guy that was scoring left and right in the qualifiers 2016~2017.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 13:47:39Tite must hate Bruno G. I can't believe he is changing the whole team but keeping Bruno on the bench and starting Fred again.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 12:24:10Now we just need Brazil's B team to fuck up like France and Portugal did. Brazil vs Portugal Switzerland vs South Korea
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 12:20:46I don't know how korean fans survived watching the last 10 minutes of Uruguay-Ghana. That shit was absolutely insane. Ghana GK making miracles left and right to keep the 0-2 + Ghana missing amazing chances in the counters. Best ending of a group so far, hands down.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 12:12:34It would be a shame if he get injured in a meaningless 2nd half but whatever.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 2, 2022 11:00:56Ghana is losing 0-2, so Portugal's 1st place is secured. No reason for them to try hard anymore. They should rest Ronaldo. Korea just needs 1 goal now and they advance.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 1, 2022 21:42:492 national team derbies coming. Ghana vs Uruguay, Switzerland vs Serbia. Portugal and Brazil could give us some fun games as well with new players if they don't try too hard now that they are in R16 already. This World Cup is so entertaining everyday.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 1, 2022 21:41:46They were a dominating team like France in 98~2001 or Brazil 2002~2005. It was the era of these legendary players, not the playstyle. The problem is that Spain thinks the playstyle won them these titles, when in reality it was the legendary players they had and they can never move on from it.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 1, 2022 21:13:59The players were reliable, not the playstyle. You can't teach the average "Juan" to play like Xavi. Just like we will never have another Ronaldo or Roberto Carlos. Teams need to move on and adapt to their new realities. Nostalgia never helps.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 1, 2022 21:06:32I'm not interested in that perspective, we're talking as neutrals watching the game on TV. It may be intense on the field but not for us, it's just boring.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 1, 2022 21:02:58Costa Rica simply gave up after 3-0, they came to that match unprepared and were clueless. Just like Iran against you lot. These 2 teams only entered the cup in the 2nd match. Now watch Spain against Germany and Japan. They also should've lost to Germany but Sané missed a sitter in the end.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 1, 2022 20:57:17It hasn't been effective since 2012, I think you haven't been paying attention. A dominating win against Costa Rica doesn't change that. Wake me up when they win something important again.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 1, 2022 20:52:16They won a World Cup with a Puyol header and because Casillas saved them in the QF and the F. I wonder how many more world cups they will have to lose before they realize that this shit is not as reliable as they think. They lost to fucking Russia 4 years ago with 90% possession or something like that. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 1, 2022 20:42:46If you call passing the ball around with no sense of urgency 95% of the game high intensity attacking I don't know what to tell you...
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 1, 2022 20:36:30> Luis Enrique on the post-match interview: "Five minutes of a total lack of control..." Spain's style is such a snoozefest that even their own players are falling asleep in the middle of the game now. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 1, 2022 20:30:12Germany could've won the 3 games in the group with some better finishing but watch the german media overreact now. There is nothing wrong, it was a tough group and Spain got lucky cause they got an unprepared Costa Rica first and scored more goals. This same German team could've had 9 points today but they got very unlucky in the end.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 1, 2022 20:08:48Japan is playing this World Cup on Nightmare Mode: - Gets drawn with Spain and Germany, 2 of the last 3 champions - Refuses to play any sort of positive/attacking football - Gives them a 1-0 head-start at the half - Gets 0 points in the easiest game of the group - Win the group anyway but gut gets Croatia in Round of 16, the runner-up of the previous World Cup - Possibly a well rested Brazil in QF lol

RIP
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 1, 2022 16:32:22Not sure if you watched Morocco play but they were the best team in the group by a good margin. Croatia almost lost to the washed Belgium multiple times today.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 1, 2022 16:24:39If Spain threw the game in the end to eliminate Germany and go to the other side of the bracket I hope we do the same tomorrow to end in 2nd and pursue them. Lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 1, 2022 16:22:21Japan getting Croatia and Morocco getting Spain feels like a punishment after winning their groups but we've seen the games. Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on December 1, 2022 11:30:181-0 is still enough for Croatia to top the group but it won't be if Morocco score another.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 1, 2022 10:29:32Aren't they the youngest team of the cup btw? I think they might collapse in a high stakes match like this against the experienced uruguayan team, that will definitely explore this eagerness for revenge they are showing.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 1, 2022 09:30:27Ghana is advancing with a draw until the inevitable Suarez banger at 90+11. Uruguay advances. Ghana eliminated.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on December 1, 2022 09:26:37Early next year for the 10-member group (so, people should have this in mind when choosing this title track, choose something that works well with that number of people). We still don't know if they will release this before or after KRE's debut (the 4-member subunit that didn't debut yet).

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/kpop on November 30, 2022 22:53:09You lost to a Croatia that played 2 extra times in 1 week (+60 minutes) and another one against you. Nothing will surprise me. You guys seem to throw every big chance you get.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 22:17:01That was 4.5 years ago before Jaime Lannister. The saudis are a decent team now. They will be even better in 2026. I heard that guy is gonna stay.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 22:09:41That's why I'm not as enthusiastic about Portugal's chances as the OP. They would have to beat 3 top 6 teams in a row to win the whole thing.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 22:06:10> Imagine an old Pepe against Mbappe. It would be a nightmare for them imo. If they don't get more injuries of course. But many things can still happen so let's see. True, that's why I mentioned England. They could beat France in QF. That would give Portugal a better match-up in the semifinal with no Mbappe.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 22:04:24In no particular order: Argentina, England, Spain, France and Brazil. Portugal would be in my top 7 after Germany.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 22:00:45I don't think the chances are that low. Argentina has a free pass to the SF and they've beaten Brazil lately. Portugal will most likely face an average Germany and after a France that is losing players left and right. They may not even need to beat France if a upset happen earlier. They could play against England in the SF.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 21:56:35The Messi-Ronaldo final is still on. They will be on opposite sides of the bracket.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 21:47:16The Szczęsny save almost made me forget that disgraceful decision... yeah game's gone.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 21:43:38They have a shitty coach. Portugal would be a top 5 favorite if they had a better coach. We saw dozens of times stacked teams doing poorly in World Cups cause they were not well managed.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 21:34:30In theory yes, but I heard the same about France's B team and they lost to Tunisia. Grandpa Dani Alves will play. Cameroon just needs to send every ball to the left wing and they will have their chances.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 21:30:51I'm NGL it would be funny if our B team fail to produce, we lose 1-0 to Cameroon and Switzerland beat Serbia with the GD needed to top the group, sending us to the other side of the bracket. I doubt Portugal fans would find it funny tho.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 21:23:12Yes. Brazil-Spain should play later next week if nothing crazy happen.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 21:12:30Martinez was just a spectator today. Exactly like Alisson in the first 2 games. Just because they are not winning every match 4 or 5-0 against these "park the bus" european sides, it doesn't mean they are not dominating completely.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 21:09:34> Russia usually can't make it out of the group and made it to the semis. QF. They lost on penalties to Croatia. > Their SF in 2014 came placed between two QF exits. That Brazil team was really bad. They should've lost in the Ro16 to Chile, who hit the bar late in extra time. Brazil won on penalties and reach SF just because of the home field advantage. > South Africa have gotten 3rd in their group every time they've hosted or qualified. Their group was tough asf. They did really well getting 4 points and even beating France, the finalist of the previous WC. > Germany's record is too scattered to take much from. That 2006 team wasn't that great. Another case of being carried to semis due to the home field advantage. > South Korea got to the semis, despite normally being a group stage team. People will talk about bad/corrupt refs but refs can only do so much. That team was very competitive and scored lots of goals. Another case of getting a boost in performance due to being hosts. > France is similarly scattered, but their win in 98, when they hosted, came after not qualifying for 2 editions and was followed by a group stage exit. Team was good but put that cup in any other place and they would lose in QF or SF max. TL:DR; Home field advantage exists and they can help a lot if players take advantage of that. On the other hand players can feel massive pressure when they let in early goals like Qatar this year or Brazil in that 2014 SF. That pressure can be overwhelming for the host nation players.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 21:05:26true but they don't need to be Spain to play against Spain. They struggle to create against a low block, Spain will give them lots of space if they manage to break/escape the early pressure after getting the ball.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 20:41:34I'm seeing people write Japan off again. I think they match-up well with Spain tbh + the Japan manager will bring back the players that he benched for the Costa Rica game (lol). I always thought Germany would be the harder match for them due to how physical the germans can be. Japan is fast and organized enough, they can defend against Spain's tiki-taka and counter like they did in the 1st match but they will have to play more like they did in the 2nd half of that game. The other match could be a struggle for Germany as well. Costa Rica defended well against Japan. Germany had problems against that kind of low block in the 1st match.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 20:31:05Poland losing 2-0 and not even trying to play or attack, they were simply letting Argentina pass the ball around for minutes. Tell me how this is not a disgrace?
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 16:12:53Felt like they were missing on purpose tbh, that chance with Lautaro especially. Maybe they wanted to fuck the mexicans too. Who knows.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 16:10:41That game felt like the Disgrace of Gijon after Argentina's 2nd goal.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 15:54:30The disgrace of Doha.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 15:51:06Are Argentina trying to eliminate Mexico now? lmao Mexico will need to score another.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 15:50:08Mexico is also bad but at least they could advance after a win to play France, not after this dreadful performance. Mexico would have nothing to lose and feel that they got a 2nd life in this tournament. Please Argentina send the poles home.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 15:46:52The last impression is what matters dude. They fixed whatever problems they had.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 15:42:57Poland is an embarrassment. France got a free pass to the QF.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 15:40:09They played the wrong guys before, after missing Lo Celso before the WC. If they play these guys from now on they will be tough to beat.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 15:37:52and people thought Argentina was shit just because of a fluke game. Nice overreaction. Manchester City don't forget how to play just because they lose a game to a minnow sometimes.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 15:34:26true but if Poland find a goal somehow Mexico will need a simple 1-0. Argentina and Saudi Arabia will stay with 3 points in that scenario. Mexico will have 4.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 15:04:21not really, that Germany team was way better than this Poland. If he clean sheet his way to a SF with 2 or more penalty saves it will be absolutely deserved.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 15:02:41Mexico still can advance with a 1-0 but they will need a Poland win.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 15:00:57That VAR/PK decision was the fastest "Game's gone, game's back" moment for me. lol
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 14:57:11I can see him getting the golden ball if Poland reach the semifinals (which is possible, Australia in Ro16, then USA or an average Netherlands team in QF). Forlan got it in 2010 and Uruguay finished 4th. Another keeper got it in 2002, Oliver Kahn.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 14:53:19Poland is missing so many passes. They are making life harder for themselves. Cut down all those missed passes and it's a different game.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 14:44:26Szczesny is absolutely 1 of the candidates for golden ball right now. Saved 2 penalties and Poland didn't concede in the World Cup yet.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 14:34:03If Saudi score before half time I wonder how the argentine players will react. That result means Argentina 3rd place.
Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 14:17:03What 1 goal means for Argentina: A possible free path to the semifinals (Australia in R16 and then USA or an average Netherlands in QF). If they fail to score this 1 goal they might be eliminated today with a simple Saudi win.

Commented by /u/ggstan21 in /r/soccer on November 30, 2022 13:07:57This France-Tunisia result is an example why people should not write Korea and Cameroon off yet. Portugal and Brazil will also send their B-teams to these games.
