If people are going to complain it was on the market longer, may as well up the price. Then they can say oh his asking price was too high... or maybe someone will think its getting a lot of attention which is why the price has risen and snatch it up for themselves.

Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/sydney on February 2, 2023 21:05:36He doesnt have to use Doge. He can use his own. If its only use is on the platform then people are essentially buying credits that can be used within his eco system. No regulatory issues. No issues regarding price volatility. Same as if you walked into a gaming arcade and purchased credits to be used on the machines. Pretty sure he already knows this as well.

Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/Unexpected on January 21, 2023 17:20:08This isnt the game tho.. the actual game is called "otherside". This is a precusor to it and the trial of jimmy the monkey. For something that has its foundation built on crypto im surprised how many here know so little about it.

Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/CryptoCurrency on January 20, 2023 22:03:35Why are we using fiat pricing to describe something that can be only purchased via crypto? feels weird.. especially when used in this sub. Was a free mint, then it hit opensea and people starting paying 5+ Eth for the first tier pass (the lowest).. then it dumped to 1 eth and is now sitting around 2 eth. There are 4 tiers in total all the more expensive and believed to other greater rewards upon completion of the 3 weeks.. which will then unlock the next chapter to "The trial of Jimmy the Monkey".. all leading to the "otherside" metaverse.. which is much, much closer to what a metaverse should be compared to what Zuck was doing.
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/CryptoCurrency on January 20, 2023 21:33:25It's not a game.. its a precursor / part of the story that will eventually leave to the "otherside" metaverse.. which actually shits all of FB / meta MS paint of a metaverse.
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/CryptoCurrency on January 20, 2023 21:28:53This game is just a precursor to everything that is happening with the 'otherside' metaverse. The rewards feom it will go into it i.e land plots, mounts, AR stuff etc

Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/ethtrader on January 15, 2023 16:04:11If you are down 80%, you need a 500%+ rally to break even. ie $1000 in. $200 left after 80% loss. Need 500% rally to turn that $200 back to $1000. However, if you put $800 bavk in to get you back to $1000 ($1800 in total spent). 80% rally from $1000 would bring you back to $1800. So then you would break even.

Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/dogecoin on January 5, 2023 09:01:41There is a ton of that. Definitely not easy to navigate without being hit. There are a few rules you can follow: - Always create a new wallet to mint with - Never accept unknown airdrops or think someone is giving you free money - Assume everyone is a bot - Never sign something with your wallet until you have researched the wallet on the other side - Dont ever accept DMs (turn them off) - Have a look at the founders of project and research any previous projecta they been with and how transparent they are - Always go verified projects - split your NFTs across multiple wallets and ledgers if possible - dont trust anything on discord until you have researched and only connect wallet with bare minimum to it Its the wild west.. just need to know how to get around the shadows to have a blast.. and its most definitely worth it when you do
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/CryptoCurrency on January 5, 2023 03:41:14NFTs these days are not so much about the jpg / video / mp3 they have attached to it, but more about tge community and everything behind it. I have made far, far, more money from NFTs (without actually having to sell) then I have from crypto and none of the tribalism exists. That said there is a rug pull or a wallet drainer around every corner and its very much like how crypto was in the early days where you either hit theft or 500x - 10,000x ROI.

If you want to share the investment I would take these to an op shop / charity store and put these in kids books or near the sports section and have other kids share the joy in finding them. Obviously keep some for yourself as a memento, but these arent the type you have as monetray investments. These are the type to share joy.

Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/WTF on December 15, 2022 22:57:16So buying 3.6b in doge and the price still goes down. Ok. Also all of the doge bois fully believe its going to be integrated into Twitter. That rumour is already baked into the price. Just like paying for the blue tick in doge was, except we all know Apple wont agree taking their 30% cut in doge. They want fiat so they can pay staff and bills etc
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/elonmusk on December 15, 2022 22:52:45The problem is that app stores will not accept crypto as payment for subscription of services such as "blue tick" as they want their 30% cut in fiat and not crypto. This then leaves out doge being used for services. Its possible for doge to be used exchanging between people, however this could also be seen as a crypto "trade" so will be subject to book keeping and taxes etc, and then there are regional laws that disallow trading crypto between parties, then there is also the whole KYC thing. Crypto will come, but there are a LOT of baby steps along the way to getting it to the point where we can just swap it with others via a corporate entity. 2025 would be my bet.

They can do what they like with it. Add other code owners and remove everyone else if they wanted. They can even decide to make the code clised source if they like. Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/wallstreetbets on November 19, 2022 01:48:29Its not people. Most people either love NFTs or dont really care. Corporations care as they refuae to allow others taking a cut from their profits. Hence they will put into their terms and conditions in the games that of you sell your account, the account will be destroyed. NFTs disrupt their market and eat into their profits. Gaming corps have entire marketing teams focused on the analytics of culture that can bring them more profits, and yes they also have paid shills that will fight it.

Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/elonmusk on November 18, 2022 15:41:02If genetics means that your children do not look like the parents.. Alicient's point is mute. If they do indeed look like the parents, then why do her children not look like her? In any regard, what she says is a self burn no matter how you twist it. The matter is simply this: her children do not look like her so she cannot call someone out for having children not appear like them. In fact.. the child looks more like Laenor than her children look like her.
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/freefolk on November 17, 2022 18:33:10Alicent would not mother 3 blonde children. Maybe one, and that is unlikely - possible, but unlikely. The daughter would not be blonde. This is how genetics works. The fact that she is calling out someone saying that they do not look like the child, and her children do not look like her.. is a self burn. It's like Alicent, have you even looked at your own children? more than likely her children are mothered from surrogates.

Or are you now saying that Ned was wrong and Joffrey was indeed Bobby's?

Others platforms take it on as a currency because its Doge and non tech people don't want to have to remember some crazy name, and its Doge.. not some politicians face. It's global. Makes sense for global platforms to use a global *renown* currency that has lasted the test of time and is cheap and faster to use. It passes the 1000 year test (like fiat), unlike other cryptos that won't be around in 200 years because they need every person to hand their wallet down to future generations for it to continue existing. It runs on electricity. The fuel that exists in every corner of the universe. It's for the people.

Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/CryptoCurrency on September 27, 2022 08:33:19The reason for a chain is because transactions are linear and immutable. Having a multidimensional array of sorts doesn't lend itself well to this as there will always be one transaction that is hashed first. Also if you make it so that the hash can be changed with a merge of blocks then its no longer immutable. However, you can extend a chain to form other dimensions by having an attribute for mapping and have that mapping form a mesh that adds an additional layer of hashing. Like a hash of vectors that lock blocks together.

Do you remember a coin called Tron that was founded by Justin Sun? It literally copy / pasted code from Ethereum and was a wannabe Ethereum clone. The ONLY difference was that it used PoS instead of mining. The entire Ethereum community ridiculed it as being too centralised, even Vitalik joked about it. Fast forward to today, and now Ethereum has become what it once hated and ridiculed. Any of us who have been here for the past few years know it. Most are too invested in it now that they will just ignore it. However anyone can simply search for Tron on this subreddit and look at the posts that were made over the years and can see it.

Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/footballcards on September 15, 2022 01:46:33Is this the place where I list the security issue with the validators? specifically around python 3.8 being a requirement even though it has a known security flaw that allows you to arbitrary execute code on the machine? Or the zero day attacks that could wreak havoc by banning any validator they touch, leaving only a few "compromised" validators to rule the network?
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/CryptoCurrency on September 14, 2022 22:57:23There is massive security issues with proof of stake. The validators are at risk. I know they will ban validators where the owners have attempted to forge transactions, however an outside source could attack the validator and deliberately ban it losing the owner $50k but could also wreak havoc on the network. The validators require python 3.8 which has known security issues that allow arbitrary code to be executed on the machine. That said there is probably a host of zero day attacks that can be performed on the validators. It will just take one bored person that has a grudge against ethereum and its goodbye eth, hello new world.

It wasn’t easy and tho and some self taught coding sessions were 30 straight hours with no sleep. Yeah I know its not as much profit it I was still holding, but it’s impossible to time the top. Everyone has a point that will sell, just as everyone has a point where they buy. But I love what I am doing for work and love every day. Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/CryptoCurrency on August 14, 2022 22:15:58**Serious question** \- is it really more decentralised? I hear there will be \~16,000 validators. With that amount we can assume that each one will be hit a number of times through out the day so you 100% know that any validator will be performing transactions so if you were corrupt one of the validators (which is entirely possibly to do), you could technically corrupt the transaction. Where as with mining there are far, far, far more mining rigs and there is no guarantee that a mining rig will even do a transaction ever. Also I remember when Tron was a thing and was basically a cut / copy / paste version of eth (literally) with POS and everyone here and all of the eth fans labelled Tron as highly centralised - but now that Eth is doing the same thing, its no longer the case?

You want something simple, has easy to understand tutorials on youtube, and offers support when needed. If we were really concerned about contributing to global warning none of us would be using mobile phones. The sheet volume of phones in use and the power that they draw, not to mention the mining required for the materials and the waste (multiple versions and upgrades every year and batteries thrown out) would be at the top of everyones list, but no one likes to mention it because it would mean giving up something they love.. and people are programmed to shit on what others have that they do not themselves have.

It just needs to show that a transfer of doge has taken place between one wallet and another. Everything else around it will die off eventually like fading trends.

The elegance behind it and the conversations on the old newsgroups around it are amazing to read. It was before the whole money / greed thing was about and was just a bunch of people doing what devs do best - with a bit of punk thrown in.
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/technology on June 16, 2022 21:11:10The problem is if you purchase crypto ONLY to resell back for more fiat - you are using it purposely for a Ponzi scheme. Crypto was not created to be bought and sold to gain more fiat. It was created to REPLACE fiat. Which is EXACTLY what Tesla and SpaceX have done by allowing it to be used to purchase merch, in place of fiat.

Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/litecoin on June 8, 2022 14:40:39exchanges “own” that wallet. What they do is create their own wallet system where they trade between those wallets for no fees. Everything on an exchange belongs to them. Hence the whole crypto slogan “not your keys, not your wallet” thing that people have been saying for years. If the exchange was to ever collapse, become frozen, or anything at all was to happen to it.. all of that crypto would be lost. One of the reasons crypto was created to was move away from anything like that and allow people to be their own bankers and have peer 2 peer transactions. You need to have your own wallet to really benefit from crypto. Exchanges need to die.

In fact, crypto waa created so you could do peer 2 peer transactions and be your own bank. Exchanges are everything against the reasons crypto was created - let that sink in for a bit. If/when an exchange falls (and the biggest have in the past), what happens to your crypto? well when I saw your crypto, I mean theirs as they technically own it and have covered themselves in the terms and conditions you agreed too.

Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/dogecoin on May 13, 2022 19:52:54Its fine. Only takes a few months for some cryptos to rise 96% so will be back to $130 from $0.00002 in no time!

Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/SHIBArmy on May 13, 2022 05:27:08Luna is ~0.01 now. If you spent another $60k at 0.125 you would be fucked.
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/CryptoMarkets on May 12, 2022 09:46:29That is if the exchanges do not delist it first
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/cosmosnetwork on May 12, 2022 06:11:46Don’t worry, Luna will have more zeros soon. The algorithm it uses is killing itself to keep the stable coin alive but that is crashing as well causing Luna to crash more causing the stable coin to crash more - its a death spiral. exchanges will delist it soon and will be the first dead coin of the bear market.

Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/SHIBArmy on May 11, 2022 19:27:58so I can buy more when it drops lower over the coming months.
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/SHIBArmy on May 11, 2022 19:26:53It might not bounce back either. Wallstreet had a money printing machine and was handing out cash like leaflets. A year from now we might be all repaying that debt.
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/CryptoCurrency on May 11, 2022 18:14:59remember how many ERC-20 tokens survived the last bear market? thats right.. zero.
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/CryptoCurrency on May 11, 2022 18:13:05There will be many more. WSB posted the suicide watch post which signals the entry into the 1+ year bear market.
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/SHIBArmy on May 11, 2022 18:00:21If we were buying more the price would be going up, not down. Also name where you can short Shiba?
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/SHIBArmy on May 11, 2022 17:58:53Beckett for this Ive got a few mint gold stars (pikachu and others, but no char), have spent a few months pondering and beckett just seems to push the return on these a bit more.
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/pokemoncardcollectors on May 11, 2022 07:20:33exactly what Verge (xvg) did. If it werent for the name and logo I would say this coin is verge coin
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/SHIBArmy on May 10, 2022 19:05:24I'm not so worried about votes / downvotes. Already have enough of them :) I have been here in cryptoland long enough to know how this all goes down. The closest coin & community I can put Shib with would be verge (XVG) back in 2018. It's identical aside from the logo and name.. and it will follow where verge went. I wouldn't be surprised if the creators of this have already moved onto creating other coins.
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/SHIBArmy on May 10, 2022 09:09:12It took bitcoin 3 years to go up last market crash. Over those 3 years every erc-20 token faded away. Some even moved on from erc-20 to a mainnet ie Verge (XVG) which held the exact same hype of Shib - they even became to only crypto accepted on porn hub for a time - and look at them now.
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/SHIBArmy on May 10, 2022 05:59:48Welcome to your first bull trap. You will see many over the coming months in this bear market. Last bear we had not a single ERC-20 token survived. Shib is an ERC-20 token. It’s not going to be pretty. That is a warning.
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/SHIBArmy on May 10, 2022 05:51:16Its not finished. This is how it starts. Then you have a year or so to buy before we get closer to the next btc halving.
Commented by /u/spritefire in /r/SHIBArmy on May 10, 2022 01:30:24last major crypto crash not a single erc-20 token survived. shib is a erc-20 token. take what you want from that.
