It'll work great for the aforementioned reasons. Hashrate and cost of attack will also increase with increased adoption.

Because most payments are many times smaller than the cost of an attack, which is in the tens of thousands of dollars.

Labor and stock price inflation is a direct consequence of the supply inflation and devaluation of the dollar and dollar savings. It doesn't make up for the value lost. Saving money for the long term **is** smart. An economy of people that don't save fot the future has no future, just like a currency that loses most of its value in just a century. Blowing money on unneeded trash and making unprofessional investments, which most people will do to save their earnings from inflation, creates an economy of mindless consumerism, market bubbles, and situations like the corona crisis when it turns out most businesses and individuals have no cash cushion for just such emergencies, and so the state "has to" step in and "save" them with "free" money by printing money, and so doing more of what created the problem in the first place. The US Fed is printing money at an unprecedented rate right now. It's going to follow other fiat currencies and collapse very soon. [](

Commented by /u/weepingswords in /r/btc on July 4, 2020 13:00:56

So losing 97% of its value in just one century since the creation of the Fed isn't enough of a free fall by your definition. Will it be enough when it goes full Venezuela? Purchasing power is what matters, not measuring against other fiats. I guess Westerners are not used to hyperinflation and think it's only what happens in other countries. But socialists have never been as strong in America and Western Europe. They will print their currencies into the ground.

Commented by /u/weepingswords in /r/btc on July 4, 2020 12:11:15

Reuploaded graph on imgur. Other fiat currencies are losing value even faster than the US dollar, so comparing it to them doesn't reflect its own devaluation.

Commented by /u/weepingswords in /r/btc on July 2, 2020 16:05:11

Taxation is forcible extraction of money with no agreement, aka theft. To call theft "payment" is like calling rape and sex the same thing. One is coerced, the other is not. Governments produce nothing of value that should not be morally or cannot be more efficiently produced by a voluntaryist, competitive private market.

>I am saying the concerns about different average IQ is inconsequential. They are consequential when people who deny IQ differences then blame the socioeconomic differences on "white racism" and persecute whites. >To think it matters shows you do not really understand the significance of averages, or how little they matter when judging individual cases. Dude, your ignorance is just so fucking annoying at this point. If you had watched ONE!!! video by Stefan Molyneux where he talks about race and IQ, **that's exactly what makes sure to say every time - no individual should be judged by averages.** The fact that you construct this strawman out of nowhere demonstrates that you **HAVE NOT** watched those videos, you just continue smearing a person you know nothing about, because you blindly buy into the libelous headlines fed to you by lamestream media.

If by "the country" you mean government officials, they don't incur any expenses - everything they control and generously betow on their voters was stolen from their tax slaves.

Commented by /u/weepingswords in /r/btc on July 2, 2020 15:46:31

Are you saying IQ is "unconsequential?" IQ is the biggest single predictor of income, educational attaintment, crime rates, health, and longevity, as confirmed by hundreds of studies. How exactly did Stefan "misrepresent" this or "does not understand statistsics or how to to understand the data"? Can your insults be any more vague or baseless?

Commented by /u/weepingswords in /r/btc on July 2, 2020 14:25:02

A focus on crucial data shunned by most of society isn't uncalled for at all. It's the people who challenge popular misconceptions that make progress. >When controlled against other factors like class the data shows race does not play as significant of a role as those people thought. I don't even know who or what you're disagreeing on here.

Commented by /u/weepingswords in /r/btc on July 2, 2020 13:54:30

We're seeing people in countries with higher inflation ditching fiat right now, and it's no accident the crypto market cap has grown tremendously over the past years. It will also be a much bigger deal when the USD goes into hyperinflation because unlike the local currencies of those countries it is a worldwide 'safe' haven those people used to run to; entire governments abadoned their fiat scams and made USD the de facto currency. They will have nowhere but crypto to run to now. As inflation rampages the world economy, the individuals and societies that choose crypto at a higher rate will get wealthier and also make the price go up, which is also enough for normies to fomo in without even understanding the economic reasons as to why it does.

Commented by /u/weepingswords in /r/btc on July 2, 2020 10:43:23

The state and capitalism are diametrically opposed. The state violates private property, capitalism upholds it. The totalitarian state, an absolute violation of private property, is the essence of communism.

>Blacks sold themselves into slavery. Where’d the money to buy them come from? Black chiefs sold their tribesment to slavery, that is true. The tradition didn't start with Europeans or Arabs. Also, freed blacks in the US owned slaves at a higher rate than whites. Which still of course doesn't change the fact that the whites who bought and owned slaves were monstrous criminals. >Native Americans were mostly killed by natural illnesses. (What the fuck was the Trail of Tears, then?) Also true. [\~:text=When%20the%20Europeans%20arrived%2C%20carrying,estimated%2090%25%20of%20Native%20Americans.](,estimated%2090%25%20of%20Native%20Americans.) The fact that there was "a series of forced relocations of approximately 60,000 Native Americans in the United States," while reprehensible, doesn't change that.

"The readings of physical instruments can be misinterpreted, therefore physics is like phrenology" You know what, commies actually did ban genetics in the USSR as a "bourgeois pseudoscience." I hope you're not willing to deny that genes exist, humans like all living organisms have genes that evolve and are selected over time under the influence of such things as the geographic environment, and that genetics is an actual evidence-based science, just because its findings like with any science are sometimes inaccurate, or at odds at with what you're emotionally comfortable with.

I am very much devoted to the truth. You're ignoring the truth because it might be uncomfortable. Being right is imporant, not impressing someone with a "good look" by lying to them. > I’m sure genetics were the basis, not fucking slavery. Just like IQ, having or not having freedom influences your income. China is a much poorer country than Hong Kong due to having less freedom, especially in the past. They still have the same IQ because the populations are largely the same. The Jews have faced persecution and genocide for centuries. They still have higher IQs, income, and lower crime than anyone else.

A race is a collective concept use to group people with similar genetic and physiological characteristics. This says nothing about Tiger Woods at all. These are demographic averages. He is an individual with his own characteristics. We should treat each individual as such. The problem arises when people deny these averages and claim that races perform differently only as a result of prejudice.

Denying that truth is only being used to blame all of blacks' problems on white racism (which suprisingly doesn't affect the economic successes of East Asians and Jews - who do however have higher IQs than whites), and results in actual racism against whites.

Foreingers have no right to access the infrastructure and social benefits that the local population was forced to pay for through taxation. That's true of a lot of immigrants, such as Russian Americans and Cuban Americans, who indeed escaped communism and know what it's like, but the general stastistics paint a different picture. [\_92349606\_us\_el]([ections\_2016\_exit\_polls\_race\_624.png]( Liberty can be advanced around the world through education, but repeating the thousands of years it took to build European liberty and educating the \~1 billion people that currently express desire to emigrate, many of whom are from cultures that are extremely illiberal, that they shouldn't support big government and socialism, before them all coming to richer countriers due to open borders and welfare incentives and destroying the source of that prosperity by voting for the left, is extremely unlikely. California, once heavily Republican, was made socialist within a few decades through immigration. The same fate will find every place with lax immigration policies.

It's the current democratic system that lumps everyone together and everyone gets to vote on everybody's life and property. When the majority of people from third-world countries vote for socialism, and so coercively trasnferring the wealth of the host population to themselves, and the socialists are actively importing them to rig the vote, it's entirely fair to demand that it be stopped. I don't want 10 million Venezuelans coming into Russia so they can make my country like theirs by voting for more government coercion and the transfer of my money to themselves through welfare. I'm entirely happy with dealing with individuals on a one-by-one basis in choosing who I become friends and do business with. That's impossible in a democracy, especially with a welfare state. That's why there should be no state, but so far as it exists, the least we can do is make it smaller. People from third-world countries \*generally\* disagree. I don't want them imported here to take my money and vote against my remaining freedoms.

You are definitely a victim of leftist brainwashing. > Look, I’ve made this argument for many years that the conscience short-circuits and is no longer available for recovery when you have done an evil for which there is no restitution, and there is no restitution, there is no restitution possible for the rape of a child, or the murder of a child. “Like there is no parent who would say, ‘Well, okay, if you give me $10 million, you can murder my child.’ If somebody said, ‘Listen Stef, if I steal your bike, I’ll give you $10 million.’ Right, so basically you’re just buying my bike for an absurd amount of money right? The point you were disputing is this: > Bitcoin was created to end the state's socialist monopoly on and control of money. As such, it is necessarily political. So yes, it is about anarchism. The only true form of anarchism is anarcho-capitalism, since the violation of private property is the essence of government. Whether or not Satoshi identified as ancap, he did create a tool that removes government control of money. Btw, money itself is inimical to ancoms. SK is one of the most free, capitalist societies in the world, and consequently one of the the richest. Yet their IQ is the same, because the populations are genetically the same. Same for Russia and England. Since fungibility is a basic property of money and the purple dollars wouldn't have the same acceptance as green ones, it would be creating a new currency/asset. You also didn't elaborate on how in your hypothetical the 1:1 peg would be enforced, because otherwise there wouldn't be much demand for the purples and their market price would plummet. There is nothing that forces people to accept e.g. Bitcoin Clashic at 1:1 with Bitcoin Cash, or BTC at 1:1 with Bitcoin Gold or any of the other [countless forks it's had]( It's trivial to create 1000 forks in a day and not only would it not change the supply of the existing coin, the new currencies wouldn't even have a market cap without demand for them emerging.

Commented by /u/weepingswords in /r/btc on June 15, 2020 16:32:52

All fiat currencies lose value over time. Tying it to a bunch of them doesn't change that.

Commented by /u/weepingswords in /r/btc on June 15, 2020 15:50:35

Inflation is when the supply of a given currency increases, which isn't the case with a fork. The forked coins are on different blockchains and one type of coins is not usable on the other, are not interchangeable, and so they don't affect each other's supply, like a newly mineable type of precious metal doesn't affect the supply of gold. Apart from block rewards, the market cap can only be affected by demand, such as if the new competing currencies attract buyers away from each other. But in citing that here you're confusing changing prices for separate competing currencies with a change in supply within a given currency.

Commented by /u/weepingswords in /r/btc on June 15, 2020 15:42:56

Nonsense. Creating a new competing coin doesn't change the supply of another coin. To claim the opposite is like saying mining platinum inflates the supply of gold.

The second it forked Bitcoin Cash fixed the incredibly harmful bug caused by Core devs where Bitcoin was artificially limited to 3-5 transactions per second. The bug was stifling its growth with congestion and the resulting slow, in some cases months-long, confirmation times and fees up to $50, in some cases, up to thousands of dollars per transaction. Transactions on Bitcoin Cash are cheap thanks to it being capable of \~100 transactions per second thanks to raising the blocksize, and are in most cases instant thanks to lacking RBF, another bug Core introduced. In other words, BCH *restored* the original, crucial features of Bitcoin that enable it to be cash as per Satoshi's whitepaper, that were maliciously maliciously or through incompetence, broken by Core. On top of that, anonymity with CashShuffle and the upcoming even more anonymous CashFusion, OP codes that enable trustless escrow on exchanges like, tokens, smart contracts, Schnorr signatures, and decentralization through multiple node implementations. And perhaps most importantly, a community built on free speech and oriented toward adoption.

Crypto gives you the tools to safeguard your money against taxation-theft. I also advise against living in the West. The good thing about the state is that it always grows like a cancer, and once it grows to a certain size it collapses upon itself, as the economy can only function so long as there is enough freedom. The state collapsed, and the state-run money went to zero and close to zero several times within the past 100 years in my country. The same is going to happen to yours. If Bitcoin is controlled by the state, it'll be no different from fiat. How are the technical properties "beside the point?!" The technical stuff is what the disagreement is all about! Without understanding it you have no idea what the scaling debate is even about. I also explained to you what this sub is and precisely why it's important to expose BTC's flaws and small-blockers' wrongdoing in the biggest uncensored Bitcoin sub. But since you haven't commented on that you're obviously unwilling to hear the answers, continuting with your baseless complaining and mischaracterizing my technical reasoned argument with strawmen like "mudthrowing." Regardless of your coin/no-coin association, you definitely belong to the camp of people who don't think rationally, have an emotional bias against people who promote Bitcoin as P2P cash, and are looking for excuses to shut us up. That's never going to happen.

Commented by /u/weepingswords in /r/btc on May 22, 2020 12:09:27

Because PR is imporant, and BTC usurped the Bitcoin name and continues misleading newcomers into the HOLD cult that is at odds with the vision of stateless limited-supply P2P electronic cash that Bitcoin was built on.

Commented by /u/weepingswords in /r/btc on May 22, 2020 10:45:55

Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin because it follows the whitepaper and fulfills its original and proper goal as cash. Bitcoin Core is not Bitcoin because it does not. It's fraudulent to steal the Bitcoin name to promote something that has doesn't function as such. r/btc is not limited to BCH and was created in 2015 as a free-speech alternative to the censored r/bitcoin sub, where among other things the people like Roger who have supported Bitcoin since 2011 could defend its original scaling plan in the face of the small-block sabotage. Small-blockers are the ones hurting Bitcoin. It's bizarre that you find the questions you linked to "difficult" or having any substance. They don't address the technical fundamentals of the debate, which you admit you have no understanding of.

Satoshi was a big blocker who repeatedly said Bitcoin is to scale primarily on-chain and become money for the world. Adam devoted himself to destroying Bitcoin with small blocks and central planning to make it a useless speculative collectible. The author of that “investigation” didn’t examine this fundamental technical and philosophical disagreement between them and concluded they are the same person because Satoshi used British spellings. That’s the kind of idiocy that passes for an argument with the crowd.

Governments are the primary violators of property whose criminal income exceeds that of any other type of criminal gang. Governments protect you from competitors because you are valuable human livestock. Only private property defense companies can contractually provide actual justice.

Commented by /u/weepingswords in /r/Buttcoin on May 11, 2020 18:58:07

Commented by /u/weepingswords in /r/Buttcoin on May 11, 2020 18:26:01

Oh definitely, we need the Elon Musks to privatize defense and law just like space has been, so that such companies are contractually funded, freely compete on the market, and control one another. Because the criminals that rob us through taxes and enslave us through totalitarian laws are by definition unfit to run a justice system.

That passage and article describe exactly the criminal violence that taxation is enforced by, where are you seeing a discrepancy?

Commented by /u/weepingswords in /r/Buttcoin on May 11, 2020 17:53:29

Taxes *guarantee* free ridership for net recipients of socialized goods. State control leads to inefficiency and high costs due to a lack of customer choice and competition. Both are achieved through violence which is immoral and socioeconomically destructive.

"I just pick cotton for my master like a normal slave because I benefit from the meals and the not killing me they provide. No guns involved because I voluntarily submit to the masters before they even pull a gun on me!" It's not a *payment* because you don't have a safe choice - if you didn't yield they could kidnap or kill you. Chances are you don't think corporate welfare or foreign wars or a vast number of other govt programs benefit you - you're still forced to pay for them like a good slave.

Selling firecrackers without a government license, which Roger Ver was put into a cage by your masters for, is not a crime in anyone's view but that of government slavers. People who escaped slavery were convicted felons too. People who are not in favor of slavery don't see criminal government orders as the source of morality. Bitcoindotcom helps bring freedom from governments to the world and yeah, it's great! Oh and the doxxing claim while irrelevant is also false - this is an oft repeated piece of [fake news](

Commented by /u/weepingswords in /r/Buttcoin on May 11, 2020 15:42:20

Payments are voluntary. Taxes are extracted at gunpoint and are theft. It's like raping someone and demanding that they pay you for sex services. Apart from the immorality of funding and enforcing a government school monopoly through violence, the education you receive is complete shit as demonstrated by the fact the only job you can get after 10 years of such education without any additional training is at McDonalds. It's a tragedy that the best years of young people's live are stolen at these brainwashing facilities that don't give you any marketable job skills. This injustice and inefficiency would be solved by fully private, competitive, contractually funded school market. Govt roads are similarly poorly managed, ridden with congestion, scarcity, poor quality, and inefficient traffic regulations. The biggest CRIMINALS are stealing 30-70% of your paycheck and you're not even recognizing the fact. In fending off smaller and foreign gangs, they are acting as protection mafia who is only guarding its human livestock because it is the source of their criminal income.

Bitcoin \*is\* private property and so is directly at odds with an ideology that advocates communal ownership. >Bitcoin can be mined by anyone Anyone with the means to do it. Which is how it should be because only large professional miners (businesses) can provide security to a global payments network. Monero or PoS coins strive for egalitarian mining, which is inefficient and unworkable, but as a leftist that's where you should look to. > [Private property]( needs to be protected by the state through laws. Demonstrably false. Your ownership of coins doesn't depend on any laws, it's recorded on the blockchain. The state is also the primary violator of private property, stealing close to half of the economy's output through taxes. > There's a difference between "private property" and "personal property" No, there isn't. Means of production vs. personal property is an entirely whimsical distinction that only depends on what a given communist considers to be a lucrative enough piece of another man's wealth to expropriate. A knife is a means of production as it produces sliced cheese. A personal computer used for work can produce value for hundreds of your clients. >it's a collectively shared resource (as it's open source and can be forked if needed). A full node instance is not collectively shared, it can be forked precisely because it's controlled privately.

Communists advocate the abolition of money, and Bitcoin is money. It is private property that is assigned to the individual who mines or purchases it, not society as a whole, so it's not egalitarian. Fiat, which can be easily taxed and printed for welfare handouts, is in line with leftism. So is the central planning, production quotas, and subsidizing home nodes championed by Core.
